The wife and I are going to our first Cards game of the year - it's the fifth anniversary of our first date (she kindly reminded me of that fact this morning), which was a Cards game, so we try to catch a game every year when possible. We have great bleacher seats in rightfield - second row, the first two seats right next to the Cards bullpen. I'll report back later and tell you how a woman who is five months pregnant handles sitting in the bleacher section - this should be interesting.

Go 'Birds!!! I wish this was a road game.

and keep it up Minnesota!!!

Wow, 5 months pregnant in the bleachers. Hope you've got a comfy bleacher seat for her. Of course, sounds like there's not much point in buying one now. I believe the new stadium will have seatbacks in the bleachers. My wife and I's 7 year anniversary of our first date was Monday, but unfortunately it didn't involve the Cardinals. That would be awesome. Have fun.

FYI: Due to Monday's game being postponed between Seattle & Baltimore the starting pitchers will be Ainsworth(BAL) & Moyer(SEA).

She got passes to the Stadium Club, so I doubt we will sit in the bleachers the entire game.

Thanks, I'll see if she wants to bring the digicam - maybe I can get some picks.

I'm tempted to say "yes," but who else have you got? Beckett's success rests on changing speeds and he needs his curveball to be successful. I think he should be okay, but it's a tough one without knowing the alternatives.

The Cubs have been outscored 19-1 the last two days. (We just got done at the Mets for only scoring 2 runs in the last series).

Hope they can pull out a win today.

I've gotten a win from Jason Schmidt so far, and a loss from Matt Morris (but losses don't count against you). I also have Beckett, Colon, Oswalt, John Thompson (ATL), Oliver Perez (PIT), Rich Harden (Oak), Mark Redman (Oak) and Victor Zambrano. If these guys have just an average week, I should take victories in wins and k's. ERA and WHIP could go up if Beckett gets shelled, and its doubtful that he pitches a CG-SHO in Colorado.

Okay. If he makes it through 6, he's going to rack up some K's. With the way Jennings has pitched and the way the Marlins are hitting, and if you're willing to possibly sacrifice ERA and WHIP, I'd do it.

No problem. But I didn't notice Oswalt's name on your list until now. Can you start two per day, or are you limited to either/or?

I can actually start up to six (3 "SP" spots, 3 "P" spots).

I believe Colon is also starting today.

Excellent. One would imagine that this should be an easy win for RoyO, but the Pirates always give Houston problems. Still, Oswalt should give you 7 solid innings, whether or not the line-up chooses to give him any run support.

At least they have a shot of scoring more than 1 run today against Casey Daigle...

"A strong leadoff man has been a common denominator among recent champions. Tony Womack's outstanding year as Arizona's leadoff man in 2001 helped the Diamondbacks win the World Series."

Miguel Cabrera just hit another out. Beckett's having a rough start, with 4ER through 4IP, but the offense his helping him.

The ChiSox have scored 4 in the bottom of the ninth to tie their game at 8.

Make that 5. ChiSox win.

White Sox score 5 runs in the ninth to beat the Indians 9-8. Sox pitching has been shit, but I'm glad they're at least taking these gifts from even worse bullpens. Last year they were usually done by the seventh.
