That's got to be the game. You can't go 0-18 with runners in scoring position and expect to win.

And to not score there in the 11th is a blow to Boston.
I'd be shocked if they win this game.

Have you looked at the Yankees' hitters stats lately??? Plus when Rivera leaves the game, who will be pitching?

Cubs win, Cards lose, Yankees lost ...
... all that's left is for the Dodgers and the Angels to eek out wins and it's a perfect day.

Yup.

Is A-Rod officially out of his slump? He went 2 for 3 with 2 BB. One of his hits was a solo HR.

Neither team deserved to win, the Red Sox more so than the Yankees. But I'm sure no one in Boston's complaining about the win.

He's currently on a 0-17 slump. Add two more games before that and he's 1-26
It's also entertaining when he stikes out as he falls over the plate.

Bernie Williams had a 6-game hitting streak this year and is hitting .179

Two passed balls to allow runners from 3rd to score and erase the comeback effort from the Braves. Both were on Alfonseca's sinkers that were low, and Estrada didn't turn his glove around (fingers down) to catch the balls. Each time, the ball skimmed the heel of his mitt and went to the backstop. I mean, this is pretty basic stuff when catching a ball, but I guess he was thinking maybe he could frame the pitches. Nevertheless, when you have a runner on 3rd base, you CATCH THE BALL! And you should certainly not do it twice within a few minutes.

Glad to see Alf still pitching hasn't changed.
