Here are my thoughts....

DET/CGY, I hope the wings can win, the sheer physicality of the flames will take its toll on a once again aging wings team...DET in 6

SJ/COL...I like the Sharks youthful entusiasm I think they play great hockey, but I don't think that I will underestimate the avs again...COL in 7

TB/MON...When I don't have a true rooting interest I go for the O6 teams, but I think that the 'bolts are in fact the real deal...TB in 6

PHI/TOR...What to do, What to do...I always underestimate Philly and I always give too much credit to the Leafs...Why mess with Tradition...TOR in 6

Detroit over Calgary
SJ over Colorado
Tampa over Montreal
Toronto over Philly

Then...

Detroit over SJ
Toronto over Tampa

Toronto lifts the cup.

Even though I voted for SJ, because I'd like to see them win it just as much as Toronto.

I'm pullin' for the Leafs. Toronto would go ape-shit if they win the Cup - how long has it been since their last championship?

I usually root for the underdog, or teams that haven't won the cup in a long time (if ever).

This is not my prediction, but my hope:
Cgy over Det
SJ over Col
Tor over Phi
Tb over Mon

This is the longest drought ever since a canadian team has never won the cup...11 years and counting

Just so everyone knows - Man-East will see Tor/Phi. Sask-west will see Cgy/Det on CBC tonight.

Who picked the Avs to win it?

Never. Gonna. Happen.

i'm still holding out hope for a Wings-Leafs O6 final. That would be way old school, and to be honest, even as a bigtime Wings Fan, I wouldn't be disappointed at all to see Toronto hoist the Cup....it lives there anyway in the HoF

I'm sticking with my pick for Tampa Bay winning it all, with St. Louis for MVP.

How true, I love the Wings I want them to win, but yet I would stil get great Joy and Satisfaction from seeing any Canadian team, especially the Leafs, Raise the Cup. When the Wings have won, I have never felt bad for the flyers, Capitals, or Hurricanes, but if it were a Wings/Leafs Finals...I would feel bad for the city of Toronto and their fans if they didn't win. my 0.02

A little off topic right now but I would give my left nut to watch some really good hockey coverage on CBC, In Denver I get just the ESPN guys...not too horrible, but if I want to watch the AVS I have to listen to the hometown homers and most of the time they make we want to turn the TV off and watch in silence. Let's just say that I am envious of my neighbors to the north.

Sharks win 5-2 and boy did it get ugly in the last few minutes. The refs really let it get out of hand imo.

WoW, what an ending to the Sharks/Avs game. And it is only game 1.

This is going to be a ROUGH series.

So much for people who say, you never see fighting in the playoffs.

Really quick, San Jose came to play with the energy that I thought they would...but what kind of minor league crap were the Avs pulling. Hey you're losing deal with it, you don't have to pick fights...how about instead of fighting you try scoring some goals, or making some saves.
