any room left on the red sox bandwagon

never in my life have i seen so many people with red sox merchandise.

do these people really like the red sox, or is it more of a general anti-yankee thing?

I have no Bosox paraphnelia ... but as a Cubs fan, I'm automatically a Bosox fan too, no?

Anyway, I'm a lifelong die-hard Cubs fan. For this year, I've decided to be an Angels and Dodgers fan too since I live close to both stadiums (in the "root, root, root for the home team" spirit). I won't root for Bosox ... unless they're playing the Yankees.

i cant really say Im a fan of any other teams

I am a fan of certain players
and I appreciate the talents of other players

but there really isnt another team Im cheering for to win the series

oh wait.. i take that back.. Go Twins! Corrie is from Minnesota, and so unless they are playing the Braves, I always root for the minnesota teams as well

Twikoff, have you lived near other MLB teams?

That's how I've ended up being a fan of multiple teams. Born/raised in New England, so that explains the Mets and Red Sox.

Then I lived in DC but previously HATED the Orioles, so I always rooting against them every game I attended. I ended up liking some of their opponents, but I can't really claim to be a true fan of those teams per se (Cleveland, Toronto).

And of course the Padres.

If you look at the thread over on FW for the free MLBtv offer, it seems that a majority of folks are getting it just to follow the Olde Towne team......

Yeah, it's kind of getting radiculos. I almost wish the Sox would win it all this year and get if over with so the Yanks can start beating up on them for the next 88 years all over again.

Then again maybe not.......NO RING FOR YOU!

Dad was military.. so we moved alot.. but managed to stay pretty much in the south, and always where Atlanta was the closest major sports city..
besides that.. spent 7+ years in Germany.. but there isnt anything worth cheering for over there

while i was in germany.. we have very limited sports television on our one channel (argmed forces network).. for one reason or another, we got alot of chicago teams.. so I started cheering for the white sox, bulls, and bears..

was a great time to be a bulls (Jordan) and Bears (Payton) fan.. Never is a good time to be a White Sox fan

Oh no, it's perfectly acceptable for namja since he's known I've considered him a pansy for a good few years anyway.

Since Oregon doesn't have any professional teams (including the Blazers ), all he can do is yack about other teams. I've lost interest in the NBA a long time ago, but I might become a Laker fan just to get under his skin.
