11 am game at Fenway today. Not a favorable pitching matchup for the Sox.

And today is the Boston Marathon. The worst day of the year.

Well, I'm running a macro now to make sure I do the same thing each time. So I have no idea why THIS TIME, it decides to have lots of blank space to the side.

The Sox game is always early on Boston Marathon days.

Yep, today is a state holiday in Massachusetts (Patriots Day). The game starts at 11. When the game is over, you can go out and watch the end of the marathon.

I went to a game on Patriots Day a few years ago. Never again. The absolute worst day to go to a game. Way too much traffic and its hard as hell to get home. The marathon sucks and everything about it sucks. The biggest waste of time and money ever.

it's supposed to be 86 today in boston. good for those at fenway... not good for those running 26.2 miles.

i disagree with marathon day being the worst day... see, i have to commute to work, and on marathon day, everyone is in the city, and not on the highways. my commute is so much easier.

Hey Deftones, at least the Diamondbacks don't lead the major leagues in Runs Allowed.

And the Cardinals are still the only team in baseball w/ an undefeated road record. Hell yeah!

i had to look that up to make sure it wasnt the braves

although I guess those pitchers duals helped us..
RS 62 RA 61

and I see what you were talking about now
Arizona - RA - 85
St Louis - RA - 86
Florida - RA - 25 (and half of those are from the 3 games against the braves this weekend)

There's something positive about this season!

At least my team can't lose today, or can they?

although.. as far as the RA goes.. st louis has played 1 more game this season than arizona.. so the backs need a shutout in their next game to keep the lead

Damnit, twikky - I was trying to make Deftones feel better, not worse.

If Bonds deserves his own HR watch thread, A-Rod deserves his own shittiness watch thread.

Statistically impossible. Elmer Dessens is pitching tomorrow.

A-Rod Shittiness Watch doesn't have a good ring to it. Work on your thread title before starting said thread.

But anybody could have fun watching A-Rod shit the bed in NY, not just Red Sox fans.

My biggest fear about starting an "A-Rod is doing shitty" thread, would be him turning it around and becoming an MVP candidate. Thereby making me look foolish and have everyone make fun of me.
