Mussina against Schilling should be a great matchup.

I have a feeling that Webb is going to be unstoppable in PETCO.

At least we have fireworks after the game to look forward to.

Going up against Ismael Valdez, I fully expect the Snakes to win again. But the Padres will win on Sunday.

My boy Soriano doing his 'thang down in Texas. Rangers currently 6-5 and their schedule to start of the year is a doozie. If they can get out of the AL West run around .500 they might not finish in last this year

Instead of the Cardinals letting McGwire throw out the first pitch, they should let him hit out the first pitch.

Hardees Mark McGwire Ball Day sounds kind of dumb.

It would be cool if he took BP though, since he quit working out (and shrunk), I wonder what he could do w/ a stick in his hands. I bet he could still hit the damn thing pretty far.

a quick aside: Melissa Stark is back - I just saw her giving the news on NBC's Today Show. I missed her.

Valdes sucks ass. Unfortunately you won't have the luxury of seeing Dessens tomorrow, Dark. You get the wild and wacky knuckler Sparks!

I'd say if Webb gives up any, it'll be 2 or less.

shilling caught a break there, but came up with the big K on Tony "I can't hit the ocean from the shore" Clark to get out of it with no runs.

Oh man talk about a break for the Red Sox,the Yankees hit a ball down the right field line and it got stuck in the chair the ball girl was sitting on so Mattsui(?sp) had to go back to 3rd base instead of being able to score and Schilling got out of the inning without Mattsui scoring

Johnny "I've never seen a razor I've ever liked" Damon walked to force in a run and Bill Miller gets hit in the elbow to force in another run, 2-0 Red Sox

does anyone think P. Reese will hit over .200 this year? This guy couldn't hit in a slow pitch softball game.

shilling gets the DP to end the inning. both pitchers have thrown a lot of pitches so far. this might come down to middle relief.

how many base runners have the yankees left today?

it seems like every inning they have a chance to tie it up, yet the sox are still up 3.
