My cable was out yesterday. Missed the Cubs game, the Lakers game, and all the other exciting events. *sigh*

Anyway, looking forward to the Cubs game today. I'm gonna be at the bar on campus watching it.

Also, I'll be at the Angels-A's games this weekend (Sat & Sun). Anyone else gonna be there? E-mail me if you wanna meet up.

If the playoffs started today, Yankees don't make it!

The best part about today is that the Cardinals can't lose.

It's $1 hot dog night at Minute Maid, and I can't go.

The fact that Ben Sheets has decided to own Houston makes it not as disappointing.

Hopefully, the Sox/O's will get the game in tonight. Go Pedro!

Cheer up. Think of all those kids who bring their gloves to the games in hopes of just possibly catching an HR ball. Well, tonight most of them will get a chance to.

Seattle/Anaheim: Over 9.5
Chicago (Buerhle) over Kansas City (Anderson)
Florida/Montreal: Over 8.0

At least I can really look forward to getting my DirecTV installed on the 27th so I can get MLBEI. That way I don't have to watch my team anymore.

I swear, I didn't like the price, but it's the best money I've spent since TiVo.

Hopefully I can try to talk down the price a bit since I'm a new customer and will also be signing up for service as well.

Unless it's still raining. In which case, Pontoon will find other ways to make himself useful...

His comparison to Bruno Haas might be even more accurate today!

Deftones, now I'm reading that Randy's still having problems too?

Yep, my team is screwed.

RJ has tried to change his mechanics since it was thought he was tipping pitches. Ever since the change, he's looked nothing like the RJ of old. Also the knee that he was having problems with sounds like it still bothers him.

Does anyone know what channel the Red Sox game is going to be on for Directv? Nesn is showing the Bruins game. Red Sox.Com says "Nesn alt". Last time it did that, I had to use the MLBEI free preview. Is that still going on?

Sounds like Beck made it out of rehab! Damn, the Padres need him back ASAP.

Rod Beck gave Padres' GM Kevin Towers a positive report yesterday in their first talk since March 10 and, according to Towers, Beck will rejoin the club within 30 days.

"He's doing well," Towers said, declining to divulge details about Beck's absence from the club, which dates to March 8 and is being called "health-related," though not baseball-related. Beck is to begin throwing on Monday, leaving him 3-4 weeks to get ready.
