Did you cut work to watch baseball today?

3 guys in our office mysteriously got sick around noontime today and went home, myself included.

I would have, if I hadn't found a way to get Gameday Audio for free.

Heh, I can work from home most any day I want to. Oddly enough, I chose to work from home today.

One of the perks of being a teacher is that my spring break often coincides with opening day, so no cutting out necessary!

Nope. There's a lot of baseball... I'm certain I'll have plenty of opportunities to get bored by a game later this summer.

Nope, there's 162 games, don't care about seeing the first ones that much. Plus the Brave's don't play today.

No - I had to settle for Wayne Hagen and Mike Shannon on KMOX.

The people my brother went w/ took their son out of school for a "dentist's appointment".

I know in middle America, the start of baseball season is always an unofficial holiday for kids.

I was gonna skip school to watch baseball ... then rather conveniently, power went out in some of the buildings around campus, including my building while the student union still had power. So I walked over to the SU and watched the Cubs game upstairs at the bar (yeah, we got a bar in the middle of campus ).

Bah, I write and proofread crap all day at work, so I don't have the energy left to look over what I post here as well.

The on campus bar is one of the things I miss most about being at WVU, since there's not one here at UMD. There's not a decent bar in College Park period either.

I cut work yesterday, but opening day was only about 1/3 of the reason. The other two reasons were that I haven't been getting enough sleep the last couple of nights trying to adjust to this damn daylight savings time and it was dead quiet at work on Monday so I spent all day on DVD Talk. I figured I could do that at home and still watch the game live.
