Sure looks that way right now. Now that the Kings seem to have given up, it's hard not to consider the Lakers the favorite to win it all yet again.

in hopes that reap comes back to fill the tread with great comedy and fun times, I'm currently listening to "don't fear the reaper" by the Blue Oyster Cult

love that riff!

It only takes one team a few lucky wins to knock the Lakers off.

You don't beat the Lakers in a seven game series by Luck.

Spurs are the only team with a chance of beating the Lakers this year, but I just don't think they are good enough outside of Duncan to beat 4 hall of famers. Spurs will at least have an outside chance though (They get stomped on Sunday and even that could be in doubt). T-Wolves, Kings, Pistons, Pacers and Mavs have no chance of stopping LA.

The refs being on the Lakers' side will prevent it.

Don't know about the Ref's and I agree my little Mavericks can't seem to beat the Lakers. But I do believe that a team can carry some luck in a seven game series with the Lakers. It will only take 2 loses before the Lakers implode and the rest will happen naturally.

Like when the Lakers were up 3-1 on the Blazers in 2000 and lost the next two games and were behind by 15 with ten minutes left in the seventh game...

Which if the blazers could hold onto the lead would have pretty much guaranteed them the championship something their fans would have desperately wanted.

But instead they took a big shit when it mattered leaving them and their fans nothing to show for the season except bitter memories and a routine tea bagging season after season by the Lakers and their fans.

But eventually one day a LOOOOOOOOOOOONGGG time from now some Laker Fans will forget and that bitter memory will be allowed to fade away and blazer fans will be able to forget about the monumental collapse of a team that was a nut hair away from a NBA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP.

Let's calm down a bit here, Laker fans. It's been 10 in a row...only a third of the way through the 30 game winning streak we're going to put together to win the world championship in fine form.

Oops...I just realized I've been counting wrong. The win against Seattle gives us 11 in a row...and we have six more games to go in the regular season. So we'll be going to the playoffs on a 17 game winning streak. Couple that with a 16 game winning streak in the playoffs for the championship...that's a record tying (I think) 33 game winning streak for the Purple and Gold!

The day the Lakers season goes up in flames only ranks behind Duke and Florida $tate's dreams being crushed in my book.

You expect someone who still thinks about the bitterness of the seventh game overtime loss to the Celtics in 1962 to let this great memory go?

One would think you'd be over something that happened way back when you were 39 years old.

Rockets can't play basketball down the stretch, Kings about to win the game. Lakers need to win to stay a half game ahead.

No defense. Parker is able to walk right into the lane and score.
