Brackets are still in good shape for me since I had the Bama upset over Stanford in one pool and I didn't have Stanford to the Final 4 in any pool. I have UConn winning that region (and the whole thing) in all 3 of my pools so anything to make that road easier works for me.

Basically, if the favorites do well today, I should be in very good shape for the most part, pool-wise.

It will be interesting to see how the morons at CBS handle the games today.

My only guess at a rationale is that they don't want too many games starting at 9 am in PST. Still, if they are going to do a triple-header, you would think they could do a 2-3-3 set-up.

They won't do that because 60 Minutes is big ratings for them.

I believe so. In fact, I'm sure the tournament ratings for Thursday night do worse than their Survivor/CSI/Without a Trace lineup.

I wouldn't doubt it at all.

And there is a reason 60 Minutes is the longest running prime-time program. People watch that s.o.b. like it's going out of style.

I really hope Mississippi St. doesn't pull away from Xavier and make this a dull game since there is no other game to switch to.

Nevada Regents OK Kruger's $3.8 Million Deal

UNLV a contender next year?????

LAS VEGAS (March 19) -- A $3.8 million contract for new UNLV basketball coach Lon Kruger was approved Friday by the Nevada Board of Regents.

Kruger's starting salary under the five-year deal will $709,500, and he will be eligible to earn more through incentives.

The 51-year-old former Atlanta Hawks coach was introduced Monday as the successor to Charlie Spoonhour, who stepped down a month ago due to health reasons.

No, but this reminds of something I noticed yesterday. The picture for the Denver games yesterday was absolutely attrocious. Did anyone else notice this?
