The Terps at #13 seems pretty accurate to start the season.

It's weird not seeing Nebraska in the top 10 much less not even in the poll.

That is a very solid top 7. It would not surprise me in the least if any of those team went on to win the championship this year. Should be a highly entertaining season.

Don't be miserly....its a very solid top 8! (So USC can sneak in)

Honestly though, I think 8 is generous, but could be deserved if thing fall into place quickly. But if its takes Hance a few games to gel with Williams, Colbert, and Hershel Dennis (as well as his own quick development)

Beware of Missouri this season. Brad Smith is a legitimate candidate for the Heisman.

If he does, thank Rex Grossman. He took the bullet for sophomores everywhere.

Shouldn't you be changing your name to TruCroc or something like that?

They still wont give a sophomore a chance.

As long as Florida is in the headlines for something as dumb as that and not like other SEC schools with sanctions I'll be okay.

Where the hell have you been? Pitt has been very good for a few years now, and they almost beat UM last year.

36 more Days, actually 43 untilt the real season starts, if we don't kill Tulsa on Sept 6 I'm selling my tickets for the rest of the season, of course we need them after that we've go to Texas, play a dangeroud North Texas team, then @ Alabama, hosts Florida, Auburn (who we own BTW )go to Mississppi which is never an easy place to play, then to Kentucky which at this point who knows if they'll build on last year or suck like in most years. then host South Carolina which with Lou Holtz should have a fine season if they stay healthy, hen a couple of should be breathers (New Mexico State, and Miss St) before closing out the regualr season @ LSU, then a rematch with Georgia in the SEC Championship game (hopefuly, if so maybe we'll show up this time)then hopefully a Bowl Game, then of course this horrible waiting again

I have been following them and they are good but they are not THAT good. They always seem to choke during the big games. They were heading towards a New Years Day game last year they had to beat either Miami or West Virgina and they lost both.

Defending champs open the season vs a top 20 opponent (Washington) with a night game at the horseshoe. That's the way to open up a season!

i don't think Michigan has been ranked that high in preseason since the national title run in 1997.

either way, i'm already have my OSU/Michigan tickets ready, and am starting to countdown....

go BLUE!

College football - the only bigtime sport where you get a head start w/o even having an preseason practice yet.
