Mavs in 6 - too many weapons

if they play D like they did tonight versus the Kings then they might get it in 5.

Should be a damn good serious whichever way it ends up, but in the end I don't think that the Spurs have enough firepower to outlast the Mavericks.

Nice initial post.

See, it's good when you start them a couple days early, so you can make a nice one!

Spurs in 6.

And, I'll take the over.

Excitement and dread. To tell you the truth, I was expecting to be splitting my team between the Stars and the Mavs. I'm such a huge Stars fan that it's hard thinking "What if?"

Even though I like the Spurs, make no doubt about it that I am 100% for the Mavs!

couldn't agree more. as for the spurs/mavs, i am torn. with robinson retiring, i would like to see him win one more, but i would also like to see the mavs get over one more hump. the good thing is, that as a texan no matter who wins, it's all good.

Spurs in 6. I see the Spurs having a much better shot at containing the Mavs "firepower" than the Mavs have at containing Duncan.

Spurs in 6. When's the last time an NBA champ couldn't play ANY defense (assuming that the West will win it all)?

I predict the Spurs to split the first 2 at home, then win the next 3. Spurs in 5.

Spurs in 5. The Mavs will have no answer for Duncan and I think the next round will be Ginobili's coming out party.

yep
i think dallas has a great team
but I just dont see how they can defend duncan
and their defense doesnt work well enough together, so if they double and triple team duncan.. they will leave the rest of the team open for easy shots

Spurs in 5. I would say a sweep, but the Mavs have enough offense to get one game at home. As others have said, Duncan is better than anything the Mavericks offer. The Spurs were the second-best defense in the league during the year, and if anyone can stop the Mavs, it's them.

Duncan and Jackson both sat out this game. The Spurs most likely would have won.

There is no D in allas.

Yes, Dave. I realize that was a 'we clinched best record and can rest for the playoffs' game.

Lakers is 5

I think Spurs have the edge here but I would love for the Mavs to take it.
