NCAA Basketball, followed closely by NFL and NCAA football a little behind that.

Re: Favorite sport that you follow?

12+ year bump! Thought about making a thread and found this, so we'll just use this:

Football
Baseball (including minor leagues)
Basketball
Tennis
MMA (casual)
Soccer (casually MLS, watch the WC every 4 years too)

All the above are of the pro variety, no college or high school.

Re: Favorite sport that you follow?

NFL with NCAA FB a close second. NCAA BB in tier two.

Calling MLB and NBA dead last would be a disservice to the term "dead last." Haven't intentionally watched a minute of either for probably 20 years.

Re: Favorite sport that you follow?

If I could only have one, I'd choose NFL football, but I'm sure I'd regret that choice every October.

College sports way above the NBA and NHL, nothing else is a real sport.

Re: Favorite sport that you follow?

NHL, but only by a whisker (longer season) over NCAAF.

Everything else behind that pales in comparison. NFL is definitely the top of the next tier.

Re: Favorite sport that you follow?

College football is so far and away the top choice for me that there's not even a close second. And my college team SUCKS.

It's really amazing how utterly boring the NFL is after spending an entire Saturday watching college football. And my NFL team sucks, too!

If I could only have one sport to watch, probably would have to go Baseball. Longer season!

First thing I want to know is what I was doing awake at 2:30am on 1/31/2003 being that I was 17 at the time and it was a school night. It was senior year so I was probably sleepwalking through the entire semester.

I digress: My interest in sports in general has decreased in the last 12 years. Football used to be my #1 but since then it's dropped significantly. I just get annoyed while watching games because there is a commercial break every 10 minutes. If it weren't for Redzone I probably wouldn't watch anything other than Jets games every week.

My interest in baseball is still the same. It's Yankees only from April through July and then I start to pay attention to the rest of the league as the playoff push starts. But back in 2003, I watched pretty much every game. I used to keep track and I think from 1998 - 2008 on average I'd watch at least part of 150 Yankee games a season. Now, it's gone down a lot since I have a lot of other priorities.

Hockey has gone up significantly since 2003 too. I'd rank it as my overall favorite now. I can watch any game at any time. Islanders first, always, but if they're not playing I can pop on any other game and enjoy it.

NBA has gone up a lot too but I wouldn't call myself a huge fan and I start to lose interest in the dog days of the season before getting back into it around playoff time.

Is fitness training a sport? I do enjoy watching Kiana's Flex Appeal.

Re: Favorite sport that you follow?

Horse Racing
Soccer (Serie A, and European competitions)
NBA
MLB

I am getting back into the NHL this coming season (watched a little bit back in the mid 90's), so that could work it's way into the list.
