There is no way Tampa Bay is not going to San Diego!

I'm 100% sure Tampa Bay will get to the SuperBowl and I'm willing to put my money where my mouth is.

If the Eagles win, I won't post again in this forum. That's how sure I am that Tampa Bay is going to win

There I said it. Who wants to take the Eagles and make the same type of deal?

If I took one team or the other, the best outcome would be never posting at this forum again.

I've already got money on the Eagles. You're gonna enjoy not visiting the forums!

evenflowddt, do you want to bet your sig on it. Winner gets to control loser's sig for a week, nothing derogatory of course. We'll go by the Las Vegas line. Let me know.

Hate to see the forum lose another member like this

Is Tampa ready to play another game in freezing temps? I'll admit they looked damn good last weekend vs SF, but SFs "D" is nothing compared to what Philly's going to throw at them at The Vet.

Should be a great game, but I'd be surprised to see more than 30 points scored.

17-10 Eagles.

There is nothing grammatically incorrect about evenflowddt's sentence.

http://www.bartleby.com/64/C001/023.html

double negative equals a positive. It is a truism of traditional grammar that double negatives combine to form an affirmative. Readers coming across a sentence like He cannot do nothing will therefore interpret it as an affirmative statement meaning “He must do something” unless they are prompted to view it as dialect or nonstandard speech. Readers will also assign an affirmative meaning to constructions that yoke not with an adjective or adverb that begins with a negative prefix such as in- or un-, as in a not infrequent visitor or a not unjust decision. In these expressions the double negative conveys a weaker affirmative than would be conveyed by the positive adjective or adverb by itself. Thus a not infrequent visitor seems likely to visit less frequently than a frequent visitor.

I'll pass, I wouldn't be suprised if the Bucs somehow pull it off, but I say the Eagles win 28-17.

I agree with this, because I have money on the Eagles. That pretty much assures a Bucs victory.

I'm going with the Eagles simply because Tampa Bay is 2-1,298,219 in games under 45 degrees or something to that effect.

If the Eagles don't win, you won't post again?

While I don't post in this forum a lot, and I generally don't follow sports too much outside of the NFL, there is no way that Tampa Bay is going to the Super Bowl this ear. I hope they all have fun watching it with their families on their fancy plasma televisions, but the closest they will get to the Super Bowl is the Vet's Parking Lot. I am willing to give up posting in the Sports Forum (it's not something I do too often anyways, but hey, you can stop posting in, um, Book Talk ).

Fine. Lets bet for one week control. Here's the spread we'll go by.

Eagles -4
I like to make it more interesting. Here are the terms. Response if you agree to them.

Eagles win and cover , I mess with your sig.
Bucs win, you mess with mine.
Eagles win, but not cover, you mess with mine.

Your original thread post says you won't post in this forum anymore if Eagles win... Does that just mean Sports? Or are you changing your original thread post???

If the Eagles win:
-I won't post anymore
-MysterX will have control of my sig.

If the Bucs win:
-I'll have control of MysterX's sig for a week.
