Current odds:
Philly -3 1/2
34 o/u
Money Line: Philly -185; Tampa +165

Forecast for Sunday: Partly Cloudy 31/22

Right after the Tampa game ended, I locked in my Philly -3 1/2 bet.

I am the biggest BUCS fan ever, but this is going to be an uphill battle. I hope the Eagles don't put us out 3 years in a row!!!

Bucs winning two cold weather games this year? I think not.

As a Bucs fan, of course I have to choose my Bucs to win. I do think they can win, but Brad Johnson must play a great game and of course our defense must play its best game also. One thing I'm pretty sure of, it will be a good one. Philly has had our number a few times already, though. hopefully this is the one we can pull out.

Go Bucs!

I'm thinking it'll be a low scoring game, something like 13-10. Either team could come out on top, but I'm thinking the Eagles will pull this one out.

That's what everybody said when we played Chicago. But then Philly's a much better team than Chicago. But then again, we beat Chicago, IN THE COLD, with Rob "Sack" Johnson at the helm.

Come on, beating the Bears ANYWHERE doesn't count
Besides the cold, TB hasn't won at The Vet in a long time, if not at all.
But let me say that I wouldn't be surprised if TB beats Philly, look at what happened to GB

The guy who played QB for the Bears that game made Rob Johnson look like Joe Montana.

I'm personally hoping Tampa wins, only to be beaten by the Titans in the Super Bowl...

But, on the other hand, I guess I don't really care much...

The interesting matchup of the PHI-TB game will be how PHI's offense and Tampa's defense match up -- In the ATL game, PHI's offense was completely based around passes underneath (screens, hookouts, crosses) and Duce Staley. TB's cover 2 defense is built to allow short passes, but no yards after the catch (which the PHI recievers aren't great at anyway). The danger for TB is McNabb getting into a rhythm and nailing those slot recievers, pulling Lynch up tight, and then go for a deep shot to Pinkston (something they tried against ATL). It is possible to run on TB (Hearst did fairly well when the 49ers did decide to run yesterday), so I think Duce Staley will be the key for Philly.

On the other side of the ball, Tampa's line has a lot of problems. Compound this with Brad Johnson's lack of mobility and the return from injury and I think you have the makings of a long day for the Tampa QB (Look at what an athletic player like Vick had to go through on Saturday!). The Philly secondary matches up well with the Tampa passing attack, aside from perhaps Jurevicious' size and relative quickness coming out of the slot. Tampa will need Pittman and Alstott to run well to set up some playaction passes, which will be their best bet to move the ball downfield in a hurry. I don't foresee much offense for Tampa, despite the aggressive schemes that Gruden is sure to draw up.

Even though I hope Tampa takes it, I'll predict a 16-9 Eagles win.

I'm going for the Bucs, of course, but I won't deny that this is going to be extremely tough. Both teams have amazing D, but Philly has the better O right now. However, if the Bucs' line can protect Brad, then I think the Bucs will pull off the victory, cold weather and all.

Go TB!

Philly should win, mostly because the Buccaneers aren't playing my 49ers anymore and their swiss-cheese-defense, their I'm-Jeff-Garcia-and-I-can-only-throw-the-ball-10-yards-quarterback, and their lets-quit-before-halftime-coach-Mariucci. The Eagles defense will expose Brad Johnson and his shortcomings.

Eagles by 14.
