Bu-Bye, classicman

Let me be the first to say, "See ya, classicman!" You'll be missed... by someone.

What are the odds he sticks to his guns?

Distinctly unlikely.

I think the fact that he said it in front of all us jackasses may force him to stick it out for a while.

I was actually rooting for Ohio State, and they actually won. A rare combo for a team I root for to win a meaningful game. Finally the #2 team wins one of these things.

He'll get out of it by pointing out the pass interference call.

I'm also confused by the reference. It doesn't help that I'm not a huge football fan.

Did you sleep through the 80s in a cryogenic chamber? 69 DUDE!!!

he said osu couldnt even compete
i think its safe to say.. even if the flag had stayed in the pocket and miami would have won... osu had done better than anyone could have imagined

Man enough to admit I was completely wrong. Credit given where credit is due - congrats to the Bucks and their fans! And huzzah for the mighty Big10!

I was super nervous at the finish - heart pounding, sweaty forehead, couldn't catch my breath. Then the pass was knocked down and I jumped for joy!! For I had bet the under for twice as much as I had bet Miami -12!! Woo-hoo!

I'm taking this as proof that the football gods hate me. Which should be good news for you Bushdog, since it means the Jets are winning the Super Bowl.

I don't think so. Many of us believed it would be a close hard-fought game won by a late Miami TD.

Would you let him off the hook for that?

Well of course you would because in your mind Miami won the game.

But we won't.

i guess..

i thought the game was going to be close..
but I didnt really believe that

osu definitly played better (on defense) than I expected

I was not impressed with their offense at all.. but they did just enough to win..

the questionable penalty call might be the big one to point at.. but the 5 turnovers including giving them the ball twice in the redzone which turned into touchdowns.. and the goal line stand in the second overtime.. are also pretty big things to point to

I still dont know what to say or feel as a 30 year long fan. Its amazing. It was a great game, that OSU was fortunate to win. But you know what they say about being lucky.

And let me be the first Buckeye Fan to offer an olive branch to C-Man. Take this as an invitation to stay at DVDTalk.

OSU deserved to win even without the controversial call, no way should a team who turns the ball over 5 times deserve to win/.

Aside from the loss (*cough* gain *cough*) of classicman, some other great things.

No more whining from Iowa fans.
No more crackpots claiming the Pac-10 is the best conference in football.
No more doubt that Tennessee sucks (search these threads, and you'll find that phrase typed by me at least once a week )
NO MORE TREV ALBERTS!!!
