Jordan vs Jordan (commercial)

everyone seen the new gatorade commercials matching current jordan against early nba jordan in a game of one on one with alot of trash talking? and the UNC jordan showing up at the end

I like that commercial.. pretty nice idea

Gonna be a while then, I guess.

Saw the ad on SportsCenter a while back and loved it.

Agreed. They knew they could only use the time machine once before it would be destroyed forever, so I'm glad they decided to go back and get Old Jordan for a commercial instead of going back and winning big in the stock market or killing hitler or something.

Very cool.

Not an NBA fan at all, but have always liked Jordan... and am definitely a major tech geek.

So... how did they do it?

it appears to be a mixture of old footage and computer generated graphics.. they used the same voice for all 3, but at times you could tell that the younger jordan was being computer generated because the lines are way too straight and rough..
very nice job of it though

Or when NFL players stop wearing helmets & facemasks...

Part of the reason basketball players are so marketable is b/c when you watch a game, it's easy to see their faces. So, it's easier to remember them.

Or at least, that makes some sense to me.

well... its alot more than that..

in the nba.. you have 5 starters.. and no more than 8 players on a team that anyone can name

in the nfl.. you have about 30 starters.. about 80 total players..

its alot easier to standout in a group of 5, than it is to standout in a group of 30-50

they did face replacement on a player similar in height and build to jordan for some of the scenes.

much like the face replacements in Titanic, Jurassic Park, Attack of the Clones and My Fellow Americans.
