NFL Wildcard Weekend: Giants vs. 49ers

If the first regular season NFL game was any indication of this upcoming matchup, we should be in for a treat. Hopefully the Giants will be able to continue the stranglehold they put on TO for that game.

The 49ers are giving up close to 220 passing yds/game this year, so I'm looking for Toomer and Shockey to have big days. I know Tiki is going to see his share of touches, and he should, but that fumbling nonsense really makes me nervous.

Anyway,

GO GIANTS!

Shockey now has a full season under his belt so I expect him to definitely play better. The Giants have been hot with Fassel calling the offensive plays, and I think the Giants will upset the 49ers this weekend.

This is probably the most likely upset to occur this weekend, but I don't like teams that go on cross country treks. The Niners get to rest tonight so this is essentially a bye week for them. The Niners always seem to win at least 1 playoff game when they qualify.

I like the Niners but not by a lot.

Even though I like Shockey quite a bit, I'll still pick the Niners 31-17

giants.

first game of the season was close, and the giants should have won that one. i believe they're a MUCH better team than they were in week 1, and they certainly have momentum going for them. i think they're gonna come out on fire and totally light up the niners.

i would not want to be playing the giants or the jets right now.

49ers just barely. But whoever wins, I can't seem them advancing past the second round.

True the Giants have to go cross-country for the game, but the Giants will be playing on 8 days rest while the 49ers will have only 6 days between games.

GO BIG BLUE!!!

GO BIG BLUE!!!

Last night was essentially a bye for the Niners. They won't need much recovery time after that.

The Niners are the weakest team in the NFC, I say Giants by a couple touchdowns.
