Dec. 23 Tangerine Bowl

Texas Tech

Vs.

Clemson

"What will happen: Texas Tech has disappointed before. The Red Raiders had the equivalent of a home game in last year's Alamo Bowl, but failed to do much of anything on offense against an Iowa team that wasn't nearly the juggernaut that this year's team is. Clemson beat the teams it was supposed to beat this season, but wasn't able to pull off a win against a team of equal or greater strength. Texas Tech will win because of its veteran leadership, but only if the Clemson ground game isn't running wild. The Tiger pass defense is good enough to keep Kingsbury from going ballistic, but it won't be able to stop him.
CFN Prediction: Texas Tech 34 ... Clemson 27"

http://collegefootballnews.com/2002/Bowls/Tangerine.htm

I hope, hope, hope that Tech can overcome it's history of crashing and burning in bowl games. It's incredibly sad that this is our last game of the season. What a year.

Kliff Kingsbury's last game as a Red Raider, ending his career as the fourth-leading passer in NCAA history.

Here's a prediction: Wes Welker will return a punt for a TD.

I'll be rooting for the ACC in this one but I don't see Clemson staying close with Texas Tech.
Tech 37
Clemson 17

Once I saw that 'three day delay' started this thread instead of twikoff I knew that TT was playing.

I think Tech will win around 35-13.

Actually, I love all college football. But I have to admit, I do pay pretty close attention to the Red Raiders.

If I did not have so much work to do, I would be happy that I have to leave work now to see this game.

Oh well....I will have to play catch-up tomorrow.

Go Tech!!!!!!!

This is the actual name of the game. There is no corporate sponsor? WTF is up with that?

Will someone shut up this Mazda idiot. Corporate sponsors really should hire spokespeople who don't suck.

So, I'm going to guess that this qualifies as "overcoming"!

Yes. It took us four years to overcome our lousy bowl history. I sure as hell hope it doesn't take that long for me to overcome my hangover.

And my prediction was correct: Wes Welker did get a touchdown return.
