meanie closing the thread when I'm typing!

Anyone who is bored with the game just play me (129893) a few times and you'll be so impressed with how many runs your team can score against a 9* team you will be refreshed and never want to leave

I guess it's just more fun on the way up than it is trying to stay there. I want to thank Dancinns for maintaing the best league around ... WhoGirl for making the DeNiros logo ... and all the owners for the great competition.

Dancinns,

If the DeNiros happen to make the first division playoffs, please put the fifth place team in instead.

Sorry to hear that you're leaving. If you ever get the urge to join the league again you are more than welcome. Thank you for being a part of and contributing to this league.

----
Here's how I feel about the upcoming seasons. I agree with most of what's been said. We're all at the point of maintaining our teams and that's getting a little boring. I don't see much that we can really do with our teams or the league to renew interest. Training is still going to be the same thing. I don't want to change formats so that we could have something different for a couple of seasons. Besides we're all so close that the divisions are like the NFL where you don't know who's going to win the damn_thing.

Sure we could all get new teams or rebirth them but who is really going to pay the $20 or $4 (whatever the cost is) to start again with a new team? I love this game but I'm not going to pay $20 for another team. I'd rather use that money on a football team.

I'm not sure what will happen to the league in another month or two. All I know is that there will definitely be a football league whenever that's released.

And more newsworthy information. If no one is upset or thinks otherwise, Season 16 will be delayed 2 weeks due to X-Mas. Or we can just have half a season or like Y2K Stalker suggested one bigass tournament.

Im working at a remote site today and wont be able to train or watch any games until at least this evening..
so I went ahead and kicked off a game against meat..
game #46542 if someone can get the final for me

and if by chance my untrained team beats meat I might need my opponent to kick off the next round game.. because I will probably be away for the next couple hours.

not sure that I could run it, because Ill be heading to minnesota for a week.. even though Ill have my laptop and a broadband connection, I cant guarantee that I would be able to update in a timely fashion.. but I would be glad to help out any way possible
of if we just take another 2 week break.. thats fine.. however the majority would like to go

Big tourney would be awesome.

BUT... we need a schedule. For instance: Round one games the first day, round 2 games the 2nd day, etc. Forfeits if not played. Otherwise if it's like the BOTR with even more teams, it will be the following Christmas before we're done (okay, so there are only 16 or so more teams, but still)

Well Passive Agressive got me. I did take him 11 innings though. A respectable showing I think

Thanks for the chance wheredebo.

I'm for a large tournament.

I'll have to agree with dancinns that the thrill is somewhat gone now. I actually enjoyed the previous 2 week break because I only had to play my pro league games. I'm also eagerly anticipating the football final release and am trying to get my team to 4* before it gets locked.

It's been awhile since this was done and we have aa a group eaten up a ton of bandwith (though some have used more than others ) I know it's the holidays and all and money is tight but any little bit I'm sure would be appreciated by the big guy. If some of you wanted to do this I would gladly act as the treasurer and forward the lump sum from my paypal account and I would forward all who donated money the receipt so you know it went (as if you didn't trust me already). Let me know what you all think either here or through email ([email protected]). For the records I'll be in for around $50. Who else is with me?

Just for Y2K from his thread in Other.

Children scream, nerves all jitters
In the malls, money glitters
a frenzied delight, their crazy tonight
walking in a shopping wonderland

I fixed my rhyming....

Jesus namrufmot, your team is ridiculously good.

RIG 13, TLB 0. I haven't had a spanking like that since grade school.

I've been playing real well, lately too. Even beat a 9* team the other day. Then I had to play you...

It's like finally being one of the best runners in the world... and then having to run against Ben Johnson.

I don't. Well, we could always have those (a brawl type deal) but my original intent was DTSL only.

sock..your outfielder (fred i think) dropped 3 balls in our game!

alot of my guys got on base because of this, then the next guy drove them in. watch your catching skill!

borst challenged me and i beat him :P the last two games i challenged him, he came back and won it in the 9th..well i scored in the 9th to walk away with the win!

EDIT...make that 2 in a row over Borst

ALSO...not jinxing myself but i've only lost one DTSL game all season..and that was a 5-4 game. i have my eyes set on a 32-1 season!

Sweet, so we'll have a tournament where everyone in the league sends me money via PayPal. Whoever sends the most wins a used copy of Glitter from Blockbuster. The runner up gets Original Sin.
