14 yard sack isnt the way to start!

bonehead play by georgia.. late hit.. 15 yard penalty and a first down.. that helps out alot

well.. arkansas might be about to get a big break
uga up 20-0 in the 2nd qtr.. and they decide its time to pull greene and put shockley out

in my opinion.. this is one of the dumbest things a coach can do..
why pull a hot qb and bring in one that is turnover prone, in a game like this..

shockley likes to give the ball up.

edit.. as i said.. shockleys first pass is while scrambling and it hits the defender right in the hands.. but the back didnt hold on

And then he made some good passes to set up another FG.

I'm certainly not a huge fan of Shockley, but I also don't think it was a dumb move to take out Greene. He was getting beaten up pretty badly, so a break for a series or two is fine with me. I've heard Shockley is contemplating transferring. I'm torn on that one --- on one hand, I like David Greene too much to have a backup come in, on the other I like David Greene too much to have him take a beating, so any relief is welcomed.

Either way, it's 23-0.

still a dumb move
if they were bringing him in because it was a blow out, and they wanted to get him some playing time.. thats one thing..
but they are bringing him in as part of their strategy..
and in my opinion.. pulling a hot qb, for a cold one off the bench.. is always a bad move

See my edited post above. I disagree and certainly don't think that was the reason, though it has been in the past.

The UGA team that's showed up the last two weeks is scary. Granted, it hasn't been against the best of competition, but they are playing very solid ball right now ... much better than the team that stumbled through pretty much their first 11 games. That second half against Kentucky gave a hint of how well they could play, but they forgot about that until the Tech game. Now they're playing at their potential, something UGA teams in the past 3-4 years couldn't seem to do. I guess credit has to go to Richt.

Hopefully Arkasnsas can bring something in the second half and avoid further embarrassing their conference.

Great job by Washington State. Gesser played great to be sure, but their defense showed up to play on UCLA. I've said all season that defense is the reason USC and WSU are so much better than the rest of the conference, and they showed it today. Their defense isn't great, but in a conference where everyone throw up 40 points a game, it just needs to be good. Should be a good match-up against Iowa if both teams can come in healthy (and the Orange doesn't snag Iowa). I'd be tempted to take an Over of anything under 100.

Stupid penalties are killing the dawgs right now ... but that was a helluva punt!!!

Edit: They've given up more yards on penalties than they have actual offensive yards so far. THAT is ridiculous. Gotta clean that up if they want to play competively in the bowl game, whichever bowl that may be.

arkansas was the first team to get shutout in the first half of a secc game
but it looks like they wont be the first team to get shutout completely in a secc game

Yeah, Colorado's really struggling without Brown. Their backups are very VERY good, but it's just not the same with both Brown and Purify in that backfield. It's all about that Offensive Line, though, so I'm sure it will start picking up slowly and explode in the second half.

As for UGA vs. USC ... they're definitely going to have to cut the stupid crap if they want to be competitive.

I hope the BCS people kept a spot open for Navy given their spectacular performance today.
