well sooooooooooorry , i just read you were changing them didn't know you already did, like I got time to be checking that stuff, I'm busy losing game after game after game to 9* teams, I've lost 31 of my last 32 games but next season I'll have a great honor rating and going to try to make the pro leagues

put them in the red power cage, if you hadn't done so already.. they will hit the ball further and further until they clear 300 feet and start getting homeruns

So, this AAA league isn't just a way for people to have two teams in the league right? I mean a scrub team is just filler and can't get promoted - right?

Exactly.. As soon as more real teams join, scrub teams start getting kicked out of the league.

Right. From what I have seen/heard, the 'real' teams in that division are the only ones with a chance to move up. Though I'm not sure if it will be:

- up to 3 teams, if available, only based on retirements in the 'regular divisions', or

- up to 3 teams, if available, including demotions from third division.

But IN NO CASE have I seen (nor would I suggest) that any person be allowed to have a second team in the higher divisions.

yea.. i think the real teams can get promoted
the scrub teams will be removed as we recruit more members

we have picked up one more.. but I guess he will need to wait for next season.. which means we have a week and a half to recruit more dvdtalkers into the league, so there wont be as many fillers.

85% contact is a good indication to puT them in the power cage!

the question i have about promotions/demotions from AAA

ok.. of course the fillers dont get promoted/demoted
but do the 'real' teams have to be in the top 1/2/3 to be promoted.. or will be in the top 'up to 3' real teams get promoted, regardless where they stand

the reason I ask.. is because with the quality of some of our filler teams.. it could really doom some teams in the AAA for quite awhile if we make them wait till they are top 3 overall

Hopefully we'll get quite a few more members. We need fresh teams, (and to get my scrubs out of there).
Seriously I think we should consider Dave99's idea to post in Other, not just sports. Just a thought.

twikoff,
what honor hit have you taken so far?

mgfred,
train that dang pithcer on the Walkens in pitching skill. Man, what does he throw, like 10 mph?

not sure if we can post in other.. even though it might bring people in.. the mods are normally pretty stringent about trying to keep threads in the right place.. and especially not allowing threads that start out, "I know this isnt the right place, but I really wanted to get the message to this group"
but we can all add something to our signature.. maybe that would lure more people in

my scrubs went from 8.1 to 7.7 on the first day.. mostly from playing idgies team.. so on day 2.. i only had to initiate against her, so I put them on vacation, since I knew she wouldnt have any problems finding time to initiate an extra game.. then once the game was over, I took them right back off.. my HR is back to 7.8.. but with all the playing around with the lineup that Im doing this season,, they wont be winning any games against good teams. so its going to make it near impossible to raise the HR.. this season, at least.

Mine went from 8.5 to 8.2 And of course now I cant buy a win against 9* teams, which I was doing regularly before. Oh well.

That's ludicrous, IMHO.

Unless we only allowed the fillers to be passive and not active scrubs, which I would support as well. It would be silly that a team there not get promoted who is a 6* just because there are a couple 8* 'filler teams' there. Heck, I'm figuring my 'scrub' team is a couple TP tickets away from being on the 9* list.

Now, if I could only figure out how to hack Fred's email...

yea.. thats kindof what i figured too
considering there are several filler teams that probably arent far away from 9*
it would take new teams forever to get promoted if they had to continue to play those teams every season

I feel the same way as you.. I just wanted to point it out and make sure..

so in theory.. even if namrufarotabagoogledoodoohead comes in last place in the AAA division, he will still get promoted, because there is only 2 real teams in there right now...

Y2K, do you think I have something as valuable as those tickets sent to my hotmail account?

BTW: The last two team in the 3rd division deserve to be sent to the minors! (At least for a season)
