Golden State Warriors Basketball

Today was a good day, the Warriors beat the Supersonics!

Even though its the preseason, its something to get excited about.

I'm excited about the season with the new coach and all, granted I know they won't make the playoffs but they should be a bit easier to watch this season compared to the past few.

Mullin is our special assistant now. We still need a decent center who can tip the ball in (*cough.ugdampier*).

It's great to have Mullin back in the organization.

Speaking of centers, what's up with Dampier? I saw some quote at DimeMag.com about Dampier saying something about jumping on a Warriors bandwagon and how there was no more room?

Here's hoping that they somehow get a good point guard from somewhere or that Gilbert Arenas works out as PG

24 bucks for lower bowl seats at Warriors games! What a deal!

Or else, you can always buy the $10 cheap seats and move to center court in the 2nd deck. That's what I always did. Warriors games are CHEAP as long as the team sucks... But still fun

if they have Murphy starting at the 4 and moving Jameson to the 3.. what are they doing with Fortson? before last year's injuries that guy was getting me 12 pts and 16 rebounds all the time. and is Dampier the starting center? or Foyle?

i hear that they're trying to move fortson but no takers. it's too bad they couldn't figure out a way to play jamison and forston together effectively

and i think dampier will start unless he gets injured. i also heard that musselman is thinking of starting murphy at center as well.

murphy is too small to play center.. regardless, I am looking forward to this season again... I do have a fear of dunleavy being a bust though.

You will be able to find me somewhere near mnguye10 with a $10 scalped ticket.. as long as I still have this job I am at...

(btw, my ex is a m. nguyen too)

i'm looking forward to this season too. hopefully, jason richardson has learned how to jump off of just one leg for better dunks, drives, etc.

murphy would actually make a pretty decent center against some teams in the east since he's 6'10" or so. he defends decently and he can shoot from the outside so he'll be bringing any shotblocking centers to the outside as well.

Question about the thread title: Shouldn't "basketball" be in quotes?

OK LOOK, the GS Warriors are a professional NBA basketball team...

...and look at Sarah, she's 20 and one of the teams athletic supporters. Her favorite movie is Dirty Dancing.

Dunleavy's not really gonna be a bust. I predict he'll be a good role player, but I dunno about him living up to a #3 pick. Then again, there wasn't much in this draft anyway, in my opinion.

WARRIORS WIN! And this game counts! And they beat the Spurs! Woohoo! Just got back from the Arena.

Game was won by the defense. They played pretty actively and hustled for the ball, with only Duncan being a force at the end of the game. Dunleavy only played 18 seconds at the end of the first half, but Jiri Welsch looked pretty good in his debut.

Overall, something to get excited about, even though the Spurs were prolly a bit fatigued from their game against LA last night. But hey, as a Warriors fan, I'll take it!

Well, after 6 losses on their roadtrip, the Warriors finally win one before coming back home. It was against the pathetic Grizzlies, but a win is a win.

Now we have 2 wins, and counting....

What really sucks is that the Warriors have to play teams in the Western Conference. It'd be so much easier to rebuild playing against teams in the East.
