"It appears back problems will force 12-time All-Star center Hakeem Olajuwon to call it quits."

I would just like to say that Hakeem is my favorite NBA player ever, and the reason why the Rockets are my favorite NBA team. I always loved the way he played the game, and it was always a bit depressing to watch him trudge around the court in recent years.

Now if anyone can talk MJ into calling it quits, that'd make a real nice HoF class.

Uhh, what??? There has already been a 2nd championship. So either you have no clue what you are talking about, or you made a typo and are suggesting that he SHOULD HAVE retired after the 2nd championship. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense, retiring when you are at the top of your game.

Actually, I could care less whether or not JOrdan retired. I actually didn't like him all that much before he did, but when he came back, that's when I knew he wasn't all about the 35 million per year he was getting with his 1 year contracts.

Yeah, but they were a few years older than Hakeem was in 95, after he won the 2nd championship.
