Vikings' Moss charged after marijuana found in car

MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota Vikings star receiver Randy Moss was charged Tuesday with possession of a small amount of marijuana, adding to charges last week that he pushed a traffic officer with his car.

The new petty misdemeanor count carries a fine of up to $200, but it could also lead to a suspension or fine from the NFL.
It was noted last week that pot was found in the car, but they evidently only decided to charge him yesterday.

yea.. i had read about this
but the fine is expected to be minimal
and the question is whether he will get a league suspension
i believe he still has to fail the drug test before he can get suspended?

Yes, the US Marijuana laws like other male Marijuana laws.

They are just waiting for the weed to run through Moss' system before they test him. The National Felons League always impresses me in the handling of these situations (not like the other professional sports are much better).

He needs to come away from the test with this classic line:

"same intensity... same intensity"

Dumb law but how moronic can you be. If you have pot in the car, the last thing you want to do is draw attention to yourself. Dumbass.

I was gonna run real fast, But then I got high...
I coulda caught that touchdown pass, but I was high.
Now the league's suspending me, and I know why
Cause I got high, Cause I got high, Cause I got high.

I was gonna drive real good, but then I got high,
There shouldn't be no cop on my hood, but I got high
Now I'm Bubba's bitch, and I know why
Cause I'm high, Cause I'm high, Cause I'm high...

I'd say that him pushing a cop with his car might have tipped them off that he was high.

I think when they arrested him for the assault, that kind of gives them probable cause to search the vehicle. I'd imagine it is standard procedure type of thing.

I hope he does get suspended. I am a huge vikings fan but I am tired of his crap. I think they should scrap the whole team and just fly the Miami Hurricanes in to play in their place.

they would have to do alot of trading to get enough picks to draft the entire miami team

You have got to be kidding me, right? I am a stickler for things like probable cause and warrants, etc, but when you assault a traffic officer with your vehicle, that certainly opens the door for a search of the vehicle.

Just want to point out that the person pushed was not a police officer, but a traffic official. This seems to get confused in the translation somewhere.

And of course the car would be searched once the real cops came to haul him away.

Who cares if it was real cop or not. If he had done that to a civilian, he should still be subject to the same punishment.

I'm not saying he shouldn't, I was just stating the facts. Fact is if it had been a police officer he would be in a lot more trouble.

You are probably right, sad as that is. He will get off with no jail time, I would bet my house on it.

I dont think so man. They might have the right ask me if I have any weapons or needles n **** but no way do they have the right to search my ride.

And if I'm all baked I'm not going to run anybody over in the first place.
