8/19 WWE Raw discussion thread
What's sad is when you are watching a show and, at the run-in at the end, you know that a certain Australian is 'marking out' while watching it (whatever that means).
I thought the show started out slow, but I ended up with a smile on my face.
I may actually have tobuy the PPV go to my friend's house with the cracked satellite setup this Sunday.

Whenever you see Flair in a White shirt, you know that the blading is a-coming. I can't help it, I'll mark like a sumbich whenever I see that happening. I feel sure that my neighbors enjoy the random Wooooooo!-ing whenever he appears on screen.

I only got to catch half of the show last night (I'll watch the first part of it tonight) but I thought it was an okay show. I'm sure the Stacy/Trish "match" will sway my vote a little
I'm psyched for SummerSlam. I think HHH/HBK will be good. I can't remember the last time the WWE had a feud that was going to be this violent.
After last night, I full expect the Big Show to jump to Smackdown after Rosie and Jamal took care of him.

the Showstoppa ! woohoo!
yep i was marking out like a beetch!
i think Raw did a decent (not spectacular) job of building up Summerslam, i actually think Summerslam will have great in ring performances
the Taker promo was terrible and what was with HHH and the contract thing, that was a bit silly but the end segement helped both HHH v HBK and Rock v Lesnar
I thought Rock's training video was very well done, as was the Lesnar video
the Flair and Jericho stuff was ok, a tad messy but i think their match will be pretty good
the hardcore stuff to me was a bit of a waste of time, i would like to see Dreamer team with Raven to take on the Island boys at Summerslam

Alternatives are being considered...
Probably not a coincidence that this was done at the start of the NFL season...

I hate bringing up the dissent in this argument, from an angle that not too many people think about, but here goes ...
If you are hacking DirecTV, and are what some in the business refer to as a "FREE TVer", then you deserve to lose your signal. If you pay for the FULL TIER, and are a "HOBBYIST", and only do this as a challenge between you and "Dave", you would have already had appropriate countermeasures in place for this day that was forecasted many years ago ...

Mostly it's kind of a grown-up version of slipping candy into your pocket at the convenience store. It's the challenge of it.
If I need to force myself to go to Hooters to watch this particular PPV, I will probably be all right, though.

Many believe the success of the P4 hack is not a reality, and those who are using an allegedly hacked P4 now are going to get a lump of coal for Christmas.
Mind you, I am only an interested observer. I've been a bill paying sub since May '95 and intend to stay that way

Interested Observer (NC-36),
The P4, which is their newest and most "impervious weapon of choice", was flawed from the get-go. I know of people that are high-level executives with "Dave" that know how easy this card is to exploit.
HU or P4 stream, there are always members that are ten-times more sophisticated than "Dave's" best ...
