Hi,
I am from Hamburg, Germany and I am on a vacation in May in San Fransisco. Does anyone of you know a fine DVD-Shop there? Where can I get Criterion Editions and other cool stuff?
Thanks in advance.
Greetings from Germany
Thomas

GREETINGS FROM SAN FRANCISCO
I shop at these places (assuming you have the Region 1, NTSC player):
Ameoba Records (located at the very end of Haight Street) - lots of great new and used DVD's and Laserdiscs. Found most of my Criterion stuff there!
Tower Records - has sales on new releases and stocks lots of cult/hard to find titles as well. Here's a tip: three locations to serve you - one is a few blocks from Fisherman's Wharf, the other (and most popular) is in the Upper Market area a few blocks from Castro Street. A good thing to do, go to the "Tower Outlet" at 660 3rd Street for their used and discounted stuff!
There is also this great place that sells players and DVDs and Laserdiscs that is by the Airport. See their website at: http://www.lasercity.com.
