Here's the situation: I ordered a pre-ordered item around 12/29/00. I requested and was granted a cancellation request for this item around 1/31/01. Today I received the item anyway. Wouldn't this be considered receiving an item I did not order and thus fall under the rule of "you don't have to pay for anything shipped to you via USPS that you did not order." I'm not sure about this last part so if anyone knows the truth please let me know. I don't feel I should have to pay for something I cancelled two months ago! Do I have an recourse? This item was ordered with a VISA checkcard, can I refuse to pay or not?

Thanks!

My guess would be that you would have to take it up with Buy. I don't think it would fall under the "don't ask for, don't pay" rule. Just e-mail or call Buy and request a postage-paid sticker to return the disc to them for full refund.

different issue with buy.com

so, apparently the monty python flying circus box that they had up is no longer available.. or so they tell me..

buy.com had it as their daily special for $100 in early february... well, i had been sitting on my unshipped order for a long time and then i finally got around to sending them an e-mail regarding it last night..

they say that their distributor says that they (the box sets) are no longer being made..

and buy had 500 of them on sale that one day..

buy.com doesn't even get a one-handed clap for this one..
