Just watched Romper Stomper again and once again laughed out loud at the great final shot
Spoiler:
(The dead man's view of the beach)
. It got me wondering about other films with great final shots. The 400 Blows and Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid come to mind, but they are both still frame shots. Anyone have other favorites?

The warehouse shot at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark, as the ark disappears among the millions of identical wooden crates.

Hey bdots48, how about a spoiler tag on that Romper Stomper ending.

Planet of the Apes (first one). Best ending shot...ever.

The final shot of Notorious -- absolutely perfect.

The final shot of Boogie Nights -- a big bright shining star.

The final shot of Casablanca -- a beautiful friendship.

The final shot of 2001 -- evolution.

I agree with those who have said:

Casablanca
The Godfather
The Unbearable Lightness of Being
Vertigo

And I'd add Some Like It Hot.

A Clockwork Orange "I was cured"
The Killing "ah, what's the use?"
The Camera Buff Early Kieslowski, perfect ending for that film.
The Cook, the Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover As the camera pulls back and the curtains close, grotesque dinner theatre.
