I haven't seen anything posted about this, but it looks as if Amazon has extended their free shipping promotion. The site used to say "through 11/22" everywhere free shipping was mentioned, but now, I can't find the end date anywhere.

Does anyone know if today is still the last day, or have they actually extended it?

I noticed that it had been extended yesterday when I was reordering some DVDs with the $10/$50 coupon. It doesn't say how long they will continue to offer this promotion. I copied this from their site below.

Let us cover your shipping costs this holiday season. Amazon.com has extended our offer to pay for standard shipping on orders of $100 or more that are being sent to a single U.S. address. See below for more details.<HR>

I included the rest of the information.

From the amazon details about the free shipping promotion:

expires at midnight, Pacific standard time, on December 10, 2000. Orders not complete at that time will not qualify for this offer.

What does "complete" mean? will pre-orders not be eligible for free shipping? if they backorder an item on you, they'll charge shipping? or just that if you make an order on the 11th and call and ask for free shipping, they'll say no.
