Knight Rider: Declassified (2026) -- New 5 hour documentary on the making of the series
A 5-part, 5-hour documentary premiere event featuring new, never-before-seen interviews with the cast, creators, and crew who brought the iconic series to life. From the creation of KITT to the untold realities behind the scenes and the legacy that followed, this is the most comprehensive look ever produced at one of television’s most enduring legends. The final interviews are already scheduled and entering production this summer, continuing to expand the Knight Rider legacy.
All the actors, writers, producers, some guest stars are all participating, including Hasselhoff and Bill Daniels.
Of course some of you will probably roll your eyes and say, I don't need to watch a 5 hour doc on corny 1980s show about a talking car.

.The show made the 1984 trans am one of the coolest cars ever. Despite some blatant cheese, this show was fun and at the time I watched every episode.

I actually got excited when I chanced upon the trailer yesterday. But it seems the documentary is up for sale on disc, not destined for any streaming service.

"entering production this summer"
So they haven't started making it yet except for recording a few interviews. They're a long way from lining up any streaming distribution.

It’s a $99 4K UHD plus BD comes with a digital copy, digital soundtrack and poster.
If you’re wondering why it’s so expensive, this is an independently produced film that was crowd funded. There are higher tier options to get production credits for supporting it.
