I'm trying to find either or both series - The Saint Tv Series (from the 1960's with Roger Moore) and The Avengers Tv Series on either bluray or dvd with subtitles or closed captioning (in English). I don't care whether dvd or blu just that it has subs or cc. I've searched a lot and so far only find streaming services with the subs/cc. I would like to own the physical media for these shows but I have to captioning.

I can manually add them if they are available on Opensubs or elsewhere but it takes so long to do a tv series (I just did Danger Man out of desperation, not finding it with subs).

I was hopeful someone was aware of a set or sets that had them?

I have the studio canal bluray box sets of Avengers S4,5,6. All have subtitles. I am in the US and paid about $40 USD for each set. Very happy with them.

As far as the DVD sets go, everything I have read said they do NOT have subtitles. And the DVD quality has been reviewed very poor for those releases, too.

No, they have not been released on Blu Ray as far I can find. I meant were they on the dvd for those seasons. I didn't realize even the quality wasn't great.

How are the episodes in S2 and S3? Are they worth watching, even though the quality is not good and I would have to add subs?

Or better to just skip and goto s4?

sorry. Never seen seasons 1-3. However, the Diana rigg and Linda Thornton seasons are all excellent, imho.
