Post Code Issue on DVDTalk Desktop View

I am not seeing all of the tools to edit a post on my desktop version of the site, like B for Bold, I for Italic, etc. Instead, I can see all of the [bracket] code but all of the tools are missing. I logged out and logged back in but it's still like that. Ideas?

As an example of what I can see, here's the beginning of my 2026 movie lineup from the post but I put spaces for the code so it looks like [ b ] this.

A barrage of questions!
  • Could you post a screenshot of what you're seeing?
  • Do you have the same experience when you click 'Preview Post' or 'Go Advanced'? (Like, do options missing in one view appear there?)
  • Does anything change if you're in a privacy/incognito tab (after logging in and all that in a privacy window, I mean)?

Here's my view, as a point of reference:

Apparently not. I copied the screen just with enough space to make them small and they won't attach. The controls to "manage attachments" is really weird, too. I usually have all of the editing tools you do, but not today!

There is a new DVDTalk requirement to scan your Costco card each time you load the forum.

Re: Post Code Issue on DVDTalk Desktop View

I figured it out so now I'm good.
Aren't we all glad I can do all of that at the tap of an icon now?

Settings > Settings & Options > Edit Options > Miscellaneous Options > Message Editor Interface > OPTIONS (two):
  • Basic Editor - A simple text box
  • Enhanced Interface - Full CKEditor Editing

Somehow, I'd been switched to "Basic Editor - A simple text box" from "Enhanced Interface - Full CKEditor Editing." I may have done it by accident, who knows? Anyway, case closed.
