Watched the first two episodes today and The Boys is back, baby. Really liked both and it definitely feels like it's building to whatever batshit crazy stuff they have planned for the end of the series.
And it continues to be such a parallel to our current political reality (everything from The Deep hosting an incel podcast to Homelander rounding people up who post mean things about him online for his "Freedom Camps") that it can be downright hard to watch. But then there is

Episode 1 - love that this is back! Freedom Camp 47 🤣🤣. It's gonna be a brutal final season. You know you keep tabs on too much political stuff when you pretty much get all the references they put in these episodes.

It was totally unnecessary. It was painful watching her last season, and it's no better this season.
I think the writers are taking transcripts from the news and social media, and then doing a search/replace subbing real people with the characters names.
Neat that the Boys new headquarters is 3 minutes from my house.

The sad thing, most of this season was written before the 2024 election. They are so spot on with so many things.
