Why did cops from L.A. do all the heavy lifting in Prague instead of local police? Why was Bailey allowed to participate in the operation--let alone carry a gun and shoot bad guys--when she's a firefighter back home?

First episode of Rookie you've watched? There isn't a show on air that requires you to check your brain at the door more than Rookie. There is no logic.

You weren't kidding. That was one of the dumbest hours of TV I've ever sat through.

Oh, I've seen a LOT dumber hours of TV than that. And it was entertaining, too.

I just wish they'd get back to basics and focus on the characters and more routine policework like they did for the first few seasons.

If Bailey and Nolan had been undercover as a married couple, it would’ve made sense, but this was silly, especially toting a gun. But whatever. The episode was entertaining, and it’s always nice to see Prague.

For the most part I've enjoyed the show for what it is. The only episodes I've ever intentionally skipped were the ones from bodycams because I dislike when a show does the "documentary" gimmick. That said, this might be the last episode I watch.

Wasn't she in the military prior to becoming a firefighter? Regardless, it was a little weird seeing her running around on the operation with the cops. Heck, it was weird seeing local cops running an operation in a different country.

Zero chance Nolan, his wife, or anyone not wearing an FBI vest would be allowed to carry a gun in an EU country.

I thought the third episode was really tense and good.

Episodes 2 and 3 were really good. They were more of what I wanted - a back to basics cop show that didn't have OTT plots. Good, solid writing and great acting.

Hopefully that continues.

Another episode where someone from Nolan's station is off duty and a crime takes place in front of them.

Looks like they might be writing out Jenna DeWan? Or maybe it'll come to nothing. Also a potentially interesting character arc for Wesley.

Well, it's a TV show. Might as well complain "There's no way the LAPD gets so many interesting cases at the same time."

So WTF? Last night’s episode “Baja” completely pretended like the last 10 minutes of the previous episode never happened. In the recap they mention the bomb but nothing else. Did I miss something?

I've been catching up on the most recent few episodes of this season. I noticed that in episode 6, Alison Haislip from Attack of the Show! has a guest role.

I guess they figured it was resolved and moved on. We know everyone came out of it ok, and the perpetrator was caught.

Clearly the TV show that was robbed was an actual show, and the actors were an established troupe, but I had never heard of it.

Tough turn for Lieutenant Grey.

What happened to Grey? I like his character but can't bring myself to watch the show anymore.
