An HBO drama without a two year wait is oddly refreshing.

There's a lot of people that worked on ER on the crew of The Pitt. They're used to cranking out 24 episodes in a year.

How many seasons of this will there be? Going with 10.

Early announcement said 15 but who knows
Edit: Whoops, 15 episodes, not seasons. Who knows on seasons anymore, especially with WBD up in the air.

I got on to the Pitt very late. I watched the entire 15 episodes in one weekend a few months ago long after it premiered.
It was probably one of the, if not best dramas of 2025. Can't wait for season 2.

The Pitt had me attached.
Was ER this good? I was way too young to care when it first aired. I don't feel like I can invest in several hundred hours. But I'm curious.

ER is one of my favorite shows. I think it's still good. It's obviously dated since it came out 31 years ago, but I think the original cast was one of the best ever assembled.

I liked the show for all of its run. There was phase, I think around season 10 that wasn't that great, but they ended the show on a high note. They always managed to get new talent and while the original cast was the best, later additions like Maura Tierney, Goran Visnjic or Linda Cardellini weren't bad either.

Spoiler:
Over the years they were some incredible actors, who did not have the longest runs, like Maria Bello, Angela Bassett, Stanley Tucci or John Leguizamo and of course the special episodes revolving about guest stars like James Belushi, James Woods or Forest Whitaker. The best one of those was the Ray Liotta episode.
I guess the only thing every ER fan hated was Carter in Africa.

I liked Scott Grimes character a lot, because he grew the most. He started out as fuck up and became a good doctor and but he never could shake his beginnings best displayed in the death scene of

They're different beasts so it's kind of hard to say. ER generally runs at a slower pace, feels less in your face and is more episodic, but is also a really good show.

Is there a certain time this will be available to stream? It’s weekly?

I’m for sure watching this when it airs. There’s very few shows I do that with, but I blew through season one like a man with his Johnson only 2” long.

OldBoy, I agree . . . wait . . . what?
Was trying to watch on a slight delay, too many family disruptions (odd, considering my wife is the one who turned us on to this). I'll have to rewatch later.
Have the podcast on while I'm cleaning up the kitchen . . . OMG, that is giant balls of disrespect bad. The hosts are OK, but the effort at stitching it together as if they are talking to the interviewees is childishly painful.
