Looks like I'll be catching up on this show over the Holidays. Never got around to watching season 1 for some unexplainable reason.

Enjoyed the Mr.House scenes. I didn’t pay attention to any of the casting news so I didn’t realize they had gotten Theroux to play him.
From the preview, glad they’re including

Wondering if I need to go back and re-watch Season 1. These recaps are full of stuff I don't remember (and these are supposedly not the AI gibberish ones). The episodes are not throwing me off though.
Digging the first two episodes, though E1 felt a little slow as it go us back into the world.
Am I the only person who cringes whenever I see Kumail Nanjiani in . . . just about any "IP" entertainment? Marvel, Star Wars, now Fallout . . . He just sticks out like a sore thumb and pulls me out of the world every time.

I’ve never played the games at all but somewhat interested in the show. Will I be lost or is it pretty easy to get into?

That said, love the show. I believe I asked in the S1 thread if any of the games were actually like the show, and I believe somebody sad Fallout: Las Vegas is closest. I may give it a try. Not big on first person shooters.

Re: Fallout (Amazon) -- Season 2 Thread -- premieres 12/16/25
Fallout: New Vegas is, IMO, the best of the FPS Fallout games, though I would say none of them are essential to watching/understanding the show as this seems to be going down its own path.
There are some who will say Fallout 4 is better. I am here to tell you, don't believe their lying lies.
The games are fun, but the problem is that they're a massive time-sink. If someone really wants to know the gist of each story, I'm sure the Wikipedia summaries are sufficient, but they may miss out on some of the quirkiness.
Unlike movies & TV, I don't think that's a bad way to go for more casual viewers.
As for season 2 of the show... ehhh... it's ok so far. Nothing great. I'm still watching for now.

I felt like Fallout 4 was the least interesting of the franchise, imo. I find the show enjoyable, but it's still ramping up this season.
