TV deals thread

Didn't see anywhere else to put this since it's a little early for Black Friday. Saw this on another forum. Granted I haven't bought a new tv in years but seems like a decent deal:

LG Partners store has a deal on the

65 Inch Class LG OLED evo AI G5 4K Smart TV 2025 with Supplied Wall Mount

https://members.us.lg.com/store/pm/t...wua-oled-4k-tv

1799.99. That seems ok. But if you bundle in the specifically listed S90TR soundbar (listed at like 1100 bucks) and Bounce Core speaker (190), you get them for free. You also can bundle the 90 dollar tv stand for free. And if you want in home installation. And an extra 10 percent off with EXTRA10. Free shipping

Now it is the LG partner store but if you have a hulu account (or sign up for hulu for a month) you can create a sign in here:
https://sso.us.lg.com/oauth/page/sig...e=pm&type=hulu

I'm curious what people think. Seems like a decent deal to me but like I said, not well versed in every tv model. Again, not an ad for this place at all just figured people might be interested (if they even look at this part of the forum)

I can't believe how dead this forum is.

I was going to ask if it's okay to post stuff from dealnews, but who would see it besides you?

It's crazy how cheap tvs have become. That's a tempting deal for an OLED.

Ha, I was beginning to think it was against forum rules and it got deleted while I wasn't looking.

But yeah, while planned obsolescence I assume lots of people buy a tv and keep it for a while and stop shopping, and even more people don't really care about the latest and greatest and just get whatever cheap (and big) tv is available, so I get it, but yeah a great deal, the only caveat being the TV stand is backordered and I can't use it.

It seems like they removed the free stand and the 77 inch is a little more expensive now but otherwise the deal is still available.

I've been toying with the idea of getting a new TV, but mine is still working great and does everything I need it to do. When it goes, I am most likely going to get a roku tv in whatever format is currently the norm. Occasionally I look at whats out there, but I cant justify getting something new when mine is still working and I spent much more on it than I am going to spend on the next tv for newer tech and a bigger screen.

For me, I resisted for a long time because my "old" tv is 3d and they don't make them anymore. But the tv finally conking out/dimming was the kicker.

Plus my receiver won't pass 4k through and I was dreading having to buy another receiver. At least this deal comes with a soundbar/rear speaker setup to give me some time to figure out how to upgrade that.

I would kind of shy away from getting a roku tv though. My current "smaller" tv is a roku tv, and it's the only 4k tv in the house, but I'm done letting them control the interface, especially since the "discount" isn't all that much anymore.

Re: TV deals thread

I forwarded this deal back when you posted it over to my daughter who is teaching high school math and she said she was qualified for the deal, so I told her she could pull the trigger on it.

Hmm, checking my credit card statement (we share a Costco account), she bought it. $1625 after tax with the coupon, free delivery and free $165 install for the current Amazon prices of $2000 65" G5, $700 soundbar, and $190 Bluetooth boombox, that's just a ridiculous deal. That 10% coupon was nuts too, it applied to the total before the bundle discounts were applied too. Thanks for posting this, this will be a nice upgrade for her and a nice wedding gift for her since she's getting married this weekend. This would have been a crazy deal even for the C series but for the high end G5, it's nuts, that TV is a beast spec wise

I havent gone 4k yet, and if I wanted to I would need to replace my receiver, as well as my blue ray player. Honestly most of my watching is done now on the roku box anyway, so I am used to their interface. And why buy a tv and a box when I can get just the tv and be done with it?

Mostly stuff like this:
https://forum.dvdtalk.com/streaming-...l#post14569850

besides the whole "it might stop being supported before you're ready to move on from your tv."
