Since Benjamin Orr is dead, how could The Cars be working on new music that does not "feature" Ric Ocasek? Without him, there is no "The Cars."

Probably the same way Soundgarden has been working on new music post Cornell's passing. Nirvana too (You Know Your Right). Most bands have a ton over unreleased and unfinished material. It's just a matter of rights, will and then working through it.

I would not think of that as new.

It's new to me. The Beetles release Now and Then in 2023. It was just one of several "new" music released over the years. They are going to put out 13 unreleased/demos soon in conjunction with a new anthology. Whatever the Soundgarden guys end up releasing will have been worked on post Chris's death minus the vocals.

Actually correction... 'Beatles' is not flagged in Chrome. 'beatles' is... which makes sense.

The excellent super deluxe edition is currently $38 at Amazon. This is a really nice set.

^Like a fool, I thought I'd see what it was going for on Amazon.ca... $135.

Everything I check, lately, seems to be more than double the price on the Canadian site, even though they both ship from, and are sold by amazon.

Is there a way one of us in the US can help? No idea how that works but I'm glad to help, if there's a way.

Thanks story, but it's just more of a general complaint. I can order it from Amazon US, but once you add exchange and shipping it ends up around $71 CDN.

It would just be nice if the same item on the .ca site was priced similarly with the only increase being due to exchange, assuming it's the same seller, particularly amazon.

Tough shit.
Spoiler:
You get healthcare, no ICE and democracy. We get The Cars for $38. I will trade you.

Re: The Cars working on new music featuring Ric Ocasek

For those on the fence, price is now down to $34.30!

To show you how weird Amazon is, the item was supposed to be delivered today and since I saw the price went down $3.81, I asked if they could price match. They said they could not but offered me a $5.00 credit and asked if that was okay.

Uh...yeah, sure.
