Texas Chainsaw Massacre TV series reportedly in the works

A24 has apparently won the rights and they are working on developing a new TV series. No other details yet. The deal is still being finalized.
How would you even make this into an ongoing TV series?

Sources say that A24 is winning the film and TV rights for Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which were up for auction and had a handful of bidders. First up would be a series from JT Mollner, Roy Lee and Glen Powell though the latter will not star as we previously told you.
Apparently, the deal hasn’t closed yet, but A24 has the pole position. Another source close to the deal tells us that this is all premature.

And I emphasize the word "reportedly" because many projects get put into development and never happen. Looks at the Friday the 13th prequel TV series that only recently got greenlit by Peacock from A24 after being in development hell for years.

I'm envisioning a pawn shop that specializes in "one of a kind" antiquities . . . such as a cursed chainsaw . . . but it is a docu-comedy, found footage style featuring the conflict between a washed up paranormal TV host and a couple of discredited demon hunters (ala The Warrens) . . . but it will all stay very true to the spirit of the original. Oh, and it is a direct sequel, the other sequels never happened.
John Laroquette will narrate the opening and closing sequences of each episode.

Oh, and Leatherface is a black woman. Maybe we can get Viola Davis.

It's official. A24 now owns the rights to Texas Chainsaw. Glen Powell is also the new EP of the series

It should be a sitcom.
