THE DOORS: Immersed (1967-1971), Albums in Dolby Atmos Blu-ray discs '10/24/25
THE DOORS – IMMERSED (1967–1971) features Dolby ATMOS mixes of the band’s six studio albums on Blu-ray for the first time. Available exclusively through Rhino.com and thedoors.com, the set includes Dolby ATMOS, 5.1 surround, and high-resolution stereo (192/24) versions of THE DOORS, STRANGE DAYS, WAITING FOR THE SUN, THE SOFT PARADE, MORRISON HOTEL, and L.A. WOMAN.
Bruce Botnick, the band’s longtime engineer and mixer, created the immersive mixes, “With Atmos, having loudspeakers on the ceiling allows ‘Riders On The Storm’ to come alive with rain and thunder, and on ‘Horse Latitudes,’ it highlights the theatrical claustrophobia of Jim’s poetry.

Final time I buy these albums? I only own about 6-7 different copies of these albums.

I thought it was going to be nutty but they actually have these fairly priced.

Firts time buying from Rhino. Pre-ordered this and also bought the Alanis Morissette "Jagged Little Pill" Blu-ray to get free shipping.

That's not a terrible price for all that, but I'm really not enough of a Doors fan to splurge. I bet Riders On The Storm in Atmos would sound amazing though.

very tempted on this one, as I just got a decent surround system and have been a lifelong fan. At the same time, I own many of the original vinyl, CDs, cassettes, and several newer live CDs I do not find myself listening to.

You would think but there is a spoken intro added to Riders On The Storm by Morrison where he talks about adding rain sounds while the thunderstorm is playing. Ruins the entire thing for me. There are other things added to the songs that to me are the equivalent of George Lucas.

I didn't know that. Why can't people just leave well enough alone.

Why did they exclude their two best albums - "Other Voices" and "Full Circle" ?

My box set arrived yesterday. Today I listened to the first album. I listen to it 3 times; in Dolby Atmos, in DTS 5.1 MA & DTS 2.0 Stereo. I'll be doing that for each album, one a day.

Dolby Atmos was my favorite. Bruce Botnick to me is a genius, going back to the 5.1's on the DVD-A releases and making their live releases great. And even his controversial remixes of their studio albums. He works his magic
. I just finished listening to Strange Days in Dolby Atmos.
. But I'm no Audiophile, so don't quote me on that

I'm fairly sure Copenhagen has been unofficially circulating for years. All of the Doors' Euro bootlegs kind of blur together for me.

Done with the box set, no problems at all with any of the albums. All played with no errors on each of the 3 audio options. SO FUCKING HAPPY WITH THIS RELEASE.
