It isn't directed by Rian Johnson so there's hope!

Good thing he never made anything else as divisive with a rabid fanbase again!

Now we know what those flying bugs do. Prodigy gets karma for giving kids adult responsibilities.

"See you soon, old toy." Loved that interaction. The lab scenes are nightmare stuff.

Great to see corded wall phones make a comeback in a hundred years.

Guy has 6 degrees but rushes straight in to the lab, sees the partially dissolved kid and proceeds to open the door without sounding an alarm.

Do we? All we saw it do was spit acid. Then a couple of them tried to eat(?) the synths body. Maybe it'll be like the ticks. Not much more than what it seems. Just there to be creepy.

Morrow and Kirsh in the elevator was my favorite scene in the season so far.

Did they show how the xeno got into a cage? Wasn't it free in the lab when it busted from the lung? Now it's caged up next to sheep-eye.

The biggest thing is that this bug eats metal, that's what Toodles was feeding them on the tray. So now we have a direct predator for any robot/synth being. The belief that they were invincible is now out the window.

True. Forgot that they were being fed some type of metal/stone.

We did not. Last we saw was Wendy petting the chest burster then to them on opposites of the cage wall. I would assume she coaxed it in there?

Eyeball continues to be diabolical... deliberately startled Tootles to get him locked in the cage.

What's up with Kirsh now and allowing the specimens to break free? Did Morrow do something to him (like he did with the kid) that we didn't see in the elevator?

Morrow did nothing to Kirsh. I think they're just stuyding what the hybrids do with little to no concern about the outcome. Also, he was on a plane coming back from the mediation when all that happened.

Wait, didn't Morrow see the recording of Boy talking to the engineer on the ship? Why wouldn't he tell Yutani about that, at or piror to the mediation?

i thought i posted this, but i guess i did not. i think the show is very good. the only thing i dislike is that they are taking the whole mystique and fear from the Aliens and showing us just too much. it's inconsistent with the first 2 Alien movies, that's for sure. there was tension, fear of the unknown and you barely saw them. this show knocks all that down and diminishes their appeal imo.

There have been 7 Alien movies and two AVP crossovers. We've all seen a lot of Xenomorph before now. That's a weird criticism to have.

i'm definitely not counting those AvP movies. haven't even seen them. but, this totally applies to this show. too much is too much for this franchise.

I love all the music choices at the end of episodes.

Eyeball is the true menace of this show.

Also, the Xenos have been able to rip open heavy duty doors. They think glass cages are a good idea? Even if they didn't know their true strength, they had one to dissect and saw the size that they will become+acid blood+razor tail.

That's a little unfair since we've seen what they can do over the course of films. Wasn't it Resurrection where they killed one of their own to use its acid blood to weaken the thick glass? But here, Morrow is the only one to have really any idea and even then, he thought his little bio-body bag that he captured the xenomorph with in Episode 2 was going to be enough.

So if a synth body is destroyed, can they not transfer the biorhythm essence and memories into another synth body? Since it seems they can reprogram it, is Tootles actually dead dead?

The eyeball monster is really brilliant, original and terrifying. I haven't had zombie sheep nightmares yet, but I feel like they're coming.

Have we learned how people on earth know what a xenomorph is? Boy knew about them bursting from humans. But wouldn't this be the first time anyone has ecountered them? They don't seem to know anything about the other 4 species they captured.

We saw Kavaliar talking to a member of the Maginot crew. You'd figure he'd know at least the basics of the creatures on board.

Right, but wouldn't he need to have already known about what the ship was doing to contact someone and ask them sabotage?

And even then, did the people on board understand how they worked before hell broke lose?
