Very slow episode not much to see except the final 2 min., hope the next episode be a banger. Also who that bald guy?

Maybe by the end she'll be riding the Xeno around like the Neverending Story.

Bald guy gives serious Mr. Grady vibes.

Could've used 2x speed to watch this one.

Hoping evil rich kid gets the full eyeball treatment.

Yeah except for Eyeball and the last couple of minutes... it was pretty much a snoozer of an episode.

MVP of the episode - Eyeball monster. That scene was nuts.
Love every scene Olyphant is in, he's so good with his character.

It is... he's been in every episode trailing Kavalier.

Seeing Eyeball in action makes it even worse about the cat.

Thought it was another great episode. Like how it developed Isaac and the “pregnant” child robot,

I don’t have a problem with gore, except for eyes so I could have lived without the scene with the sheep and the eyeball monster.

It was a slow episode, but I still enjoyed it.

Will be interesting to see how Wendy and the xenomorph's relationship grows since she can somewhat communicate with them. Not that I think she can control them or anything like that.

What makes you think that? Not doubting just missed any clues.

I continue to be fascinated by a culture that can only develop 1979-level computer graphical interfaces but still have computer graphic technology capable of rendering Ice Age movies.

I really enjoyed this episode. Lots of character building with the hybrids and the scientists. The scenes with Morrow manipulating Slightly/Aarush were very good, and heartbreaking. Both actors were really great. We're also seeing Boy Kavalier look more and more the sadistic, evil overlord. And, yeah, the eyeball-sheep scene was awesome.

I was wondering if he was or not, and then Kavalier bounced his ball toward baldy really fast and his hand shot out and caught it. Kavalier did the ball thing in a previous ep with either Wendy or Kirsh, to highlight that they are not human. Not conclusive as far as baldy goes--maybe he just has good reflexes and he's used to Kavalier's behavior.

If the xeno was put into a human lung, why did it come out as a snake rather than standard?

On the surface it doesn't make a lot of sense, but I still love all of the retro-futurey stuff from the original movie they've kept in it. It's like they're still using Apple IIs and Commodre PETs, but can still build fully human-appearing androids.

It's very cyberpunky, where you have the one percent living in a technological paradise while everyone else is in the gutters with a bunch of leftover 8-bit junk.

Didn't they always have legs even at burst? Or am I just confusing the Spaceballs puppet?

Little stubby arms. No legs. No top hat or cane either.

I haven't anticipated seeing someone get ripped apart by a xenomorph this much since Paul Reiser.

I'm hoping for Eyeball unless one of the other species we haven't seen yet are a worse death.

I think that is a given since they showed us it is intelligent and "melds" with the brain of it's host. Also, since they are toting the bullshit line that you are a genius because you are rich. Anybody else find it odd that EVERY species they brought back is a parasite/symbiote of some sort? It's almost as if that is a theme . . . like placing a "human" conscious in a synthetic body . . .

The cat was far more horrifying. It's still dumb though.

I found the "pregnancy" to be the most intriguing thing this episode. Where did she get this idea from? It isn't like she saw the xenomorph go through a life cycle. The eyeball did grab her face, but I can't see anything there that would lead to this notion.

I agree with the eye-sensitivity, but this thing is so laughable that it hasn't bothered me.

I'm enjoying it as a sci-fi show as long as I keep it separate (in my mind) from the Alien universe.

I mentioned before, there is a way it makes sense, but it isn't how they are doing it. Tech coming off a ship that has been in space for 65+ years is going to be behind what is on the surface world, especially since the surface world is essentially tech companies. On the official podcast, the actor that plays Morrow said something along the lines of "If he was a 1st gen I-phone, everybody else would be I-phone 20s." He talked about the character trying to figure out how he fits in to this world (a theme from Aliens with Ripley). I like that concept, but I haven't really seen that on screen.

We still don't know much about the fifth species . . . or am I wrong? Eyeball squid, Upside-down Audrey, legged leeches, xenomorphs . . . and somebody said something about a wasp in the last thread.

I was listening to The Watch podcast and they speculated on something that seems obvious now but didn't occur to me at all :
Spoiler:
Nibs was actually infected by the eyeball monster. That's why she says she's pregnant. She's not traumatized, she's zombified. Explains why the alien-infested sheep was more interested in Kersh than in Kavalier.

But can the synthetics be infected? At least the xenomorph eggs ignored the synths.

That's what I was pointing at . . . but it doesn't make sense with what we have seen. Then again, this is not Hawley's best work.
