I caught the original series in repeats in the 80s as I was only 4 when it originally aired. Very funny show for its time. I did watch a little of the revival.

ETA, I think I remember the exchange. Early in the show's run, when Ross still had an unrequited crush on Rachel.
Chandler: Could you be any more in love with her?
Ross: Who? Rachel?
Chandler: No, Dee the sarcastic sister from "What's Happening!!"

She'd gone through a lot already (surviving a car crash as a kid that lead to leg paralysis years later) and it was sad to hear about her cancer diagnosis. I'm sure she did good work as a veterinarian and really made people laugh with her role on What's Happening!! That's a nice legacy to leave behind... and no kid could deliver a cutting one-liner quite like Dee.
