Mr. Scorsese (Apple TV+, D: Rebecca Miller) 5 part documentary -- Premieres 10/17/2025

The man, the movies, and the city that made them. A five-part documentary event from acclaimed director Rebecca Miller.

Mr. Scorsese — October 17 on Apple TV+

“Mr. Scorsese” is a 5-part documentary event of a man through the lens of his work, exploring the many facets of a visionary who redefined filmmaking, including his extraordinary career and unique personal history.

With exclusive, unrestricted access to Scorsese’s private archives, the documentary series is anchored by extensive conversations with the filmmaker himself and never-before-seen interviews with friends, family and creative collaborators including Robert De Niro, Daniel Day-Lewis, Leonardo DiCaprio, Mick Jagger, Robbie Robertson, Thelma Schoonmaker, Steven Spielberg, Sharon Stone, Jodie Foster, Paul Schrader, Margot Robbie, Cate Blanchett, Jay Cocks and Rodrigo Prieto, along with his children, wife Helen Morris and close childhood friends.

From acclaimed director Rebecca Miller, “Mr. Scorsese” examines how his own colorful life experiences informed his artistic vision as each film he made stunned the world with originality. Starting with his New York University student films and continuing to the present day, this documentary explores the themes that have fascinated Scorsese and informed his work, including the place of good and evil in the fundamental nature of humankind.

Nobody watched this?

No wonder America is in terrible shape now.

This was excellent.

I did not know about the coke addiction and glad he overcame it and his anger issues when he was younger which I did not know since he seemed mellow and chill to me in interviews.

I feel bad for his wife but he seems like a good husband and patient.

Even his misses are still good movies if they don't hit with the masses.

Surprised he did not like Cape Fear which was a great movie.

He should have had 10 Oscars but got screwed,

I never thought he was in a slump but got a second life and more commercial success when Di Caprio joined him.

I wonder if he will do a directors cut of Gangs of New York since he was rushed during production.
