Again, if you plan to see this tonight at AMC, they are giving out a free poster.
and there is the Beaver popcorn bucket at Regal.
I'm looking forward to hopefully seeing something that will make me LMAO. Haven't had that in a theater in a long time.

I saw that this got tagged with a PG-13... waiting for the people to pop in here and start yelling that it should be R.

Holy crap this was hilarious!! Lots of audience laughs. So many freaking gags that it definitely needs a second viewing. Stay through the credits. I really hope they do more because this entire team pulled it off. Liam was fantastic and could totally be Leslie's son. Pamela is a gem. Really cool that this was shot in scope too.

I watched the movie tonight. The last movie that made me laugh to tears was Joy Ride a few years ago and I was hoping the new Naked Gun would do the same. For the most, yes it was pretty successful. The first couple of acts were absolutely hilarious and got a lot of laughs from my audience including me. Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson were great. The jokes, puns and outrageous humor gave me the laughs I needed. But, the movie does kind of run out of gas towards the end. Nevertheless, I had a really good time and AMC gave out the Neeson poster to everyone who attended tonight's show. I would recommend it and see it with an audience if you can. The communal factor really adds to the film's enjoyment.
I noticed the Priscilla Presley cameo. I was disappointed it was non speaking and a quick reaction shot. I wanted to see her interact with Frank and have him call her "Mommy"

The shocker of 2025. The first 5-10 mins were a little rough but this one just killed from that point until the finish. Neeson’s earnestness to deadpan humor results in a career high point and while some jokes are duds, there are such hard laughs in others that I haven’t experienced in a theater in years.

We saw this as a family last night for the Thursday opening. I was frustrated that the AMC we went to did not have the mini poster. My kids have only seen the original first film (with a few skipped parts) and they were looking forward to this. My wife, eh, a little.
We all enjoyed it. Our teenager especially laughed long and loud throughout the movie. When it was over, she said her ribs hurt so bad. The couple to my left did not laugh even once and as soon as the credits rolled, they were outta there.
Lots to laugh at, though it's definitely more serious than the original trilogy. I think the opening credits were a huge missed opportunity with the classic police squad car siren. I went to get more popcorn and missed the silhouette scene and my kids couldn't stop laughing as they tried to describe it to me. I still can't quite picture what happened but apparently there was also a dog?!
Lots of fun!
Edited to add: While Danny Huston is born to play this sort of villainous role, I really liked that the first two movies had Ricardo Montalban and Robert Goulet both playing against type (by and large), and wish they'd gone that route again. That's sort of the same thing with Fred Ward in 33 1/3. He's good, but this is his kind of role. I also found myself losing track of who was speaking in scenes featuring Huston and Neeson that didn't show who was talking, they both had such gravely voices.

That's a bummer. Definitely a movie where you'll miss a lot of jokes if you step out.

Caught this today and laughed my ass off. I hope it gets some legs and sticks around long enough to not necessarily get a sequel, but to convince Hollywood execs there's still an audience for screwy comedy at the theater. Provided it's quality comedy of course.

This was good, but uneven as hell. There were parts where I was laughing until I had tears in my eyes and parts I was bored and wasn't laughing. Having said that there were 2 specific sequences in the movie (body cam and infrared) that were easily worth the price of the ticket.

Saw it last night for the opening night and poster. Overall, funny. A lot was in the trailers but a few that really made it. As stated, the infrared scene stole it, wasn't expecting the dog.

Caught an afternoon show today and they gave me 2 of the posters on the way out. Had some decent moments, not a lot of laugh out loud for me, but I'm glad to have a comedy in the theater. This and Spinal Tap II coming up make me happy.
The infrared scene was similar to a scene in Robin Hood: Men in Tights, albeit to another level. Crab hands!

I had really low expectations and thus was surprised how genuinely funny this was for a good while. It also fully runs out of steam well before the end. Too bad.

It's fun. I think more jokes miss than hit, but there's so many different jokes, I can't imagine anyone would go to this and not get a lot of laughs out of it.
It's NOT close to the original in terms of quality, but it matches up well with the two sequels (I liked it more than 33 1/3, but a little less than 2 1/2).
The montage with Liam and Pam on a weekend getaway is the gem of the movie...it's hilarious.

I think I suffered a little from high expectations based on the buzz and rotten tomato score. It was a good comedy with some funny scenes, but my ribs certainly didn't hurt after the movie, just a lot of groans (in a good way) and chuckles throughout.

Yeah, I liked it pretty well. Funny, not epic. It does run out of steam, I think during the long UFC part (kudos to "Ponzi-Scheme.com Arena" though.
I enjoyed some od the bits mentioned already. I was also pretty impressed with the scene I thought was just a riff on .the opening of Mission Impossible: Fallout. Thought maybe they were gonna bring out Wolf Blitzer for a cameo. Instead they did something much more creative and inventive and I appreciated that. Funny scene. "Did you get all that?".

Saw this today with my Dad, who took me to see 2 1/2 back in the day. Laughed my ass off. My favorite quick gag was when Frank tried to drink the tip jar
The love scene using the love song from Mannequin almost took me out I was laughing so hard.

Pamela Anderson is ridiculously good in this.
I also loved that this comedy did not wear out its welcome. Any more than 90 minutes including credits would have been too long.
The end credits were great…on-set dressings, and you get a list of salad dressings, bits like that, just a fun movie.
The reviewing the body cam sequence was a hilariously well done scene.

My son and I rewatched the original last night before going to this and they definitely went for volume back then. I love the movie but not all of the jokes are winners. This movie had fewer gags but I thought a better average.
Liam Neeson is also just a “tougher” actor than Leslie Nielsen, so seeing him use his late-stage action movie gravitas was really funny.
And the original is dated as HELL. I totally forgot about the opening sequence where he beats up the world’s dictators. This new version didn’t really have anything like that, which I appreciated. And what it does have is already dated (and that’s the joke) - my favorite moment was the Buffy joke. It was SO specific I couldn’t believe they did it.
All in all I really liked it and I hope it does well for everyone involved!
