So if you don't plan to watch Superman now, you might encounter some minor spoilers with the 2nd season.

Apparently Frank Grillo will be dancing in the season 2 opening credits.

When they introduced the live action version of Rick Flag Sr. in Superman, it was pretty obvious he was going to be a nemesis to Chris in the season.

James Gunn confirmed that Guy Gardner, Rick Flag Sr, Hawk Girl and Maxwell Lord will return from Superman. He said this takes place a month after the events of Superman.

I've yet to see it (don't have Max and am waiting for a physical release), but didn't Flag Sr. lament the death of his son in Creature Commandos? I seem to recall seeing a clip to that effect.

Well, they did all appear in the previous teaser. Or do you mean they'll be in more than just that scene?

I don't know. I don't really follow DC Animated. That's why I said live action.

Gunn said they will at least appear in the 1st episode of season 2. I read his quotes on X and just watched his interview on IGN.

I understand. I only brought it up because CC is part of the Gods & Monsters chapter of the DCU. However, Gunn had said a while back that he didn't want the DCU to feel like homework, as it is with the MCU. So I am sure any connections will be adequately explained in each DCU feature, series, and video game.
I figured as much, given the teaser. I was wondering if that'd be it for them in this show or if they'd have a few more cameos throughout the season. Given the premise of this season, I'd assume they'd appear in the alternate universe as well.

Looks like there will be a new theme song for season 2.

Not surprised by a new intro song, but it’s hard to top the one from season one.

Great start. Perfect segue from Superman.

at Gunn changing the scene with the Justice league and putting Guy Gardner and Hawk Girl instead.

Great use of them interviewing Peacemaker to join the Justice Gang and then the hot mic. There were only minor references to Superman.

Basically everyone is in a shitty place and now they opened this world with the doppelgangers.

The new opening credits were good, but I prefer the song from last season.

glad it's back. good episode. the bar scene being the highlight. But the theme song and dance is definitely a step down from last season. i have that song as my ringtone. this was dull and the dance moves too similar. that was my only disappointment as i really looked forward to the opening last season.

Not as good as last season's dance opening...

We all knew it wouldn't be as good as season one. That one was too good.

They massively blew their wad on the first season but still fun for them to keep it going.

So I loved the 1st season and I've watched Superman about 4 times now but I just wasn't feeling this episode. 🤷‍♂️

I haven’t watched it yet, but I worry the wait between seasons may have killed some momentum.

I also loved the first season, enjoyed Superman but was underwhelmed by this. I started checking the clock about halfway through.

I feel like in one episode James Gunn has done better with the multiverse than Marvel other than No Way Home.

I enjoyed that episode.
Afterwards I listened to the official podcast. I found it pretty interesting. Lots of talk about shooting the orgy scene. They also point out how much better John Cena was this year, and they’re right - he was very good in this episode.
