Another Silent Night Deadly Night Remake is on the Way.

https://bloody-disgusting.com/movie/...t-deadlynight/
The naughty will be punished in Cineverse and Bloody Disgusting’s upcoming Silent Night, Deadly Night, a brand new vision for the fan favorite slasher franchise from the 1980s.

Bloody Disgusting can exclusively report this afternoon that Rohan Campbell, who memorably played Corey Cunningham in David Gordon Green’s Halloween Ends, has been cast in the iconic role of Billy Chapman for our upcoming Silent Night, Deadly Night reboot!
Well this is technically the second remake of Silent Night Deadly Night as SIlent Night was loosely based on in. The Guy who played Corey Cunningham in Halloween Ends might be a controversial choice but this is being made from the same studio behind the Terrifer movies. I'll be down to see this in theaters as its coming by the end of 2025.

Silent Night, Deadly Night (2025, D: Mike Nelson) -- Update of 1984 Movie

A reimagining of the controversial 1984 cult horror classic – When Billy witnesses his parents’ grisly murder on Christmas Eve at the hands of Santa, it ignites a lifelong mission to spread holiday fear. Every Christmas, he dons the jolly red suit and delivers a blood-soaked massacre to feed his twisted sense of justice. This Christmas Eve, Billy wants to know: “Have you been naughty?” Written and directed by Mike P. Nelson, the film stars Rohan Campbell, Ruby Modine, Mark Acheson, David Lawrence Brown, and David Tomlinson.

Silent Night, Deadly Night is in theaters December 12, 2025.

This is from the writer and director of the most recent Wrong Turn movie that came out in 2021.

The first trailer is here as it was released at San Diego ComiCon. Not bad and I'll go watch it in theaters.

Oh darn. I didn't realize you made a thread for this in April

I made a duplicate yesterday. The title format made it hard to find. I'll ask for a merge.

I've made threads before that just didn't catch on and thought this might be one of them. Anyway it's not a bad trailer and I'm interested in seeing this in theaters. I don't think another remake of Silent Night Deadly Night is a bad thing it's just another version to watch alongside the original in December.

We've got a new trailer. I see some kills straight from the original. I still hope to see this in theaters.

Hmm.. not sure how I feel about the new trailer. So this version of Billy apparently has a girlfriend who knows he’s a killer and is into it? The initial teaser had me a bit more intrigued if I’m honest. I might still check it out eventually though.

I'm planning to see this on Saturday

Surprisingly it has an 84% on RT with 49 reviews. I know some of you don't put too much stock on RT critics reviews, but that is pretty interesting

Brian Orndorf, who is a critic at Blu-Ray.com and used to review here actually gave it a B+ and he's a super tough critic.

I'm not generally a horror guy, and I've never seen any of the original films so I can't say how it compares, but I really enjoyed this. It was surprising and effective.

Re: Silent Night, Deadly Night (2025, D: Mike Nelson) -- Update of 1984 Movie

I saw this last night and I thought it was a lot of fun. Definitely better than the previous attempt to reboot this series.

I don't remember the 1984 original too well. I think I may have seen it once or twice on VHS

But, this movie portrayed Billy as a killer like the original I guess. But,

Spoiler:

In here, he was sort of portrayed as an anti-hero and murdering people who were actually bad people.

Was the original like that? Or was that changed for this movie?

Is it as gross as the Terrifier movies?

I love horror flicks, but the Terrifier movies are too much for me...both boring and disgusting.

I haven't seen those, nor will I ever, but it's not that kind of movie. There is blood in some of the kill scenes, but the movie doesn't revel in it.

It's Unrated, but I think it's mostly equivalent to R rated violence. There is only one scene where there is mass carnage, but I didn't think it was something crazy over the top like the Terrifier movies.

Now available on Hoopla if you hand access to it.

Most likely this is heading to Scream Box for subscription VOD.
