I have little doubt the zombie planet is named for Ken Foree, actor in Dawn of the Dead.

Not sure how I feel about Star Trek doing zombies.

I loved the Trek zombies.
It will be interesting to see where they go with the Gorn "possession" plotline (I'm not sure how else to describe it).

Spoiler:
^ Spoilered in case it actually happens. I'd actually give this a 65-35 shot of happening. Seems like they're dragging this storyline out for a reason.

A season 4 teaser from SDCC. Looks like there will be a muppets episode. I know, some of you hate gimmick episodes like the musical one.

Between the Pike muppet and the musical episode, we can deduce that someone in the Trek office has been bingeing Buffy and Angel.
I don't have problem with the occasional (appropriate) gimmick episode, but when we only get ten episodes a season, they can become overwhelming.

I thought the musical episode was one of their best. Not sure about muppets, but I'm open to it.

Really enjoy any M'Benga centric episodes. Love his character.
Zombies were a bit cringe, even with them calling it out in the show as a joke. I wish they could put the Gorn behind them and start having some self-contained episodes.

I...didn't really care for this episode. I think the story was fine. The zombies were fine, although maybe it would have been better if I had known it was a zombie episode. But some parts of it were just....weird for lack of a better word.
Like Pike's outburst at M'Benga leading him to throw a literal hissy fit along with his backpack containing the very thing they broke all the laws and took all the risk to procure. Very uncaptain like. It's like someone wrote him as if he was an idiot in a zombie movie instead of the Captain of the Enterprise. Overall Pike was acting like an emotional idiot in this episode. Some people have had an issue with him in the first episode but that was just a moments pause in a very stressful situation. This was just idiotic. I also didn't like how they handled M'Benga's secret. Pike didn't care at all about the reveal. I get that they are friends but it's still quite a huge admission. I did like the way they handled the Klingons though and seeing Klingons fight zombies was nothing short of awesome. SNW is definitely doing some much needed repair of the Klingon image from STD.

I'm less concerned about the zombies and more upset about Number One's hair.
