Not every movie is offered in a premium screen, but when you do see one that has it, what is your preferred choice?

My preferred choice is Dolby Cinema at AMC because the seats are a lot more comfortable.

It used to be IMAX without a doubt but now it's Dolby Cinema because of a) the recliners and b) about $8-10 cheaper. However there are still some films that are worth seeing on IMAX. I saw both Sinners and MI:TFR on IMAX this year and both were very much worth it. I'm also going to see F1 there.

Even though Superman is being promoted as being filmed for IMAX, I plan to see that one in Dolby Cinema and same with Fantastic Four.

and yes, F1 in IMAX tomorrow. And if it's really good, I might see it in 4DX. T-Mobile is offering a $5 promo next week.

Dolby Cinema

IMAX comes in second only when it's "filmed in IMAX."

Yup... our tickets for FF are at the Dolby theater.

Only ever seen 1 film on an IMAX screen, the rerelease of Se7en, so I’d have to go with that currently. Have my tickets to see 28 Years Later in a DBox screening on Tuesday so will vote then.

Love Dolby Cinema. Super comfy way to watch a film.

Re: What is your favorite premium screen format?

My local theatre doesn't have an Imax screen, however, the auditorium that plays movies in that goofy Screen-X format is significantly larger than the regular theatres so I'll pay the extra money for stuff like Mission Impossible to see it there. I like to sit front row anyway so I barely see the side screens at all.
